More Shift+P cinematic features

As a video creator, currently I am limited to the features in cinematic mode. You get the basics of zooming in/out and moving freely but there should be more within this feature to enable developers to create more immersive content.

For me personally, I have tried creating cinematic videos and I felt limited with the feature offered within Roblox. With more features it would have allowed me to create much more freely and complete it much faster.

  • Without further tools it limits what players can do inside cinematic mode.
  • Players cannot utilise the cinematic mode properly due to limitations.

Currently you cannot change the exact speed that the camera moves (unless you hold ctrl whilst moving), you cannot use customise/preset keybinds for the camera and you are limited to your zoom distance.

This could be improved by allowing players to increase the camera speed and zoom within a certain keybind or from an on-screen UI that shows up only in cinematic mode. Also give players the options to customise their keybinds so that you can assign keys to do different speeds/zooms.

Players cursors are also removed whilst in cinematic mode, possibly adding a keybind to allow players to view their cursor in cinematic can allow them to access a default UI system that is based on the cinematic feature.

  • Custom camera zoom
  • EnableDisable cursor
  • Change camera speed levels
  • Implement a GUI based around different editable values (i.e camera speed, camera zoom etc/)

Introducing this feature will benefit content creators, allowing them to make the most out of cinematic mode and create better content with the use of new tools within cinematic mode.

Hey, I had this same thought as well, I personally think the cinematic shift+p feature is a very cool one, I’ve used it in most of my videos uploaded to my channel which are like community event, cinematic edits, and they all use shift+p, take a look to see how I used them:

However, that being said, there are flaws within these videos, such as the speed being too slow/too fast at times; depending on the pace of what is presently going on, so speed is for sure a property that should be taken into consideration.
