Multiple Part and Model Scaling

You can now scale multiple parts and/or models using the Scale tool in Studio!
The tool also supports:

  • Local and world space scaling
  • Models with joints
  • Humanoids
  • Models with attachments and/or Rope, Rod, and Spring constraints
  • Collisions and grid size increments

Sweet! Joint support is especially cool.

Are there any plans to support scaling non-uniformly, e.g. stretching the X axis but not the Y/Z axes? Similar to how HumanoidHeightScale/etc function.

Whoa! About time! Now we don’t have to use plugins as much for this! Thank you!

This feature sounds amazing. I am so glad this is here! :grinning:

Ohhhh man, I’ve been waiting for this!

an absolutely amazing update, I can’t stress that enough

I’d especially love an API for this, it would be super useful!

Use cases:

  • Easy character scaling
  • Efficient live group scaling

It would also be nice if TweenService supported groups off the bat by setting a ScaleSize property

Nice work :grinning:

Finally! Exactly what was needed.

I will have so much fun with this.

I love this already.

Not currently, because we have no way to skew parts, if, say, there was a part rotated at a 45 degree angle relative to the direction you were scaling.

Man, this is so great. No need to rely on the plugin anymore :sob: I’m so happy.

Yessss finally! Such as useful thing to be able to resize models!

Man, you guys just had to deliver just a week after I finished writing my own minimap script that worked with all types of parts.
Regardless, this was a godsend. Any built-in scale feature would be destined to trump anything I could make with plugins, so it’ll save me a lot of time and effort to use this instead!

I wish I could like this thread twice.

Would we be able to stretch a model on a single axis, as if it were a mesh?

This is very cool, but what if I wanted to have multiple parts and scale them differently? Each part used to have their own scaling while selected, which I actually used a lot to make parts different sizes and save time. This may sound weird, I know. There’s no way to switch between the scaling as a whole or separately, is there? Now you’ll have to scale one, select another, then scale. Maybe I’m mistaken or just stupid lol. :joy:

This is going to be so useful.

I need one more like button. Thank you!

This is cool! Will there be an exposed API for us to do this from a script?
