My new fps game looks nothing like Roblox it looks like Battlefield or Call Of Duty

Hello @superboy_0627,

I will have to disagree on this part right here, because Roblox is an imaginary platform for all kinds of ages with the motto “Powering Imagination” for a reason. There is a variety of game genres and game styles, whether it is low-poly, realistic, blocky/classic or something else, every single creation is unique in its own way.

It’s great to hear that you strive to make Roblox more realistic and I wish you the best of luck with that.

Sincerely,

LOL I’ll just say we don’t skimp on graphics cards and processors

I was playing it on UHD so my eyes couldn’t make sense of anything lol! I could only play it for about 30 mins before I had to give it up. Otherwise you did a great job. Unlike others, I’m not opposed to using free models :woman_shrugging:t5: If I make models or audio and post them, I love to see when someone has downloaded them, so I don’t see you using free models as an issue. Keep up the good work.

It was made on feb 2. Also, it looks amazing but the gun looks kind awkward.

So, I’ve tested the game myself now and boy, there are a lot of issues you need to address.

1/ The performance
This game runs slower then the potato I ate last night slow. It’s astonishing. 6 FPS on lowest settings? That’s a no from me. Usually, when I get low fps in games like phantom forces, it’s usually my computer. But this is not excusable!
2/ The animations
They’re clunky, to put it lightly. In fact, the arms don’t even move. They just stay there while black forcefield like arms actually move. Really, even the way you hold the gun is wrong. Heck, even the gun model itself is broken! What you have right now are 2 mags, holding a gun on the mag, and a serious case of finger clipping.
3/ The coding
First, the “direction where you’re looking” gui is broken for me, probably because of the bad performance. And that’s a free model. The radar is a free model (atleast the GUI is.) The guns are a free model too.
4/ Bugs
They’re everywhere. I already mentioned the the direction gui, but the ammo counter on your gun is also broken. It says you have 0/31 while you clearly have more then that on the bottom. There’s also motion blur in this game! But, because of performance, when you turn, it blurs the screen to oblivion, before resetting it again. The fire animation is also broken. When you fire full auto, it’ll push your viewmodel back too much, to the point where it’s in your face.
Oh, and why is the train that’s moving just moves back and forwards? It’s painfully obvious.

The good
Of course, the game isn’t without good things. For the game is fairly realistic, it’s realistic lighting looks very good.

Conclusion
This game has potential, but there’s a lot of things you need to fix. I’ve seen your comment “Why are you dissing a game that’s still very early in dev”? Well, it’s because the game needs a lot of work. There’s much to be fixed and updated with this. It may be harsh, but it’s the truth.

Terrain isn’t what’s lagging the place. Probably the assets need to be optimized, with the scripts the game has. I’m not going to hack to view the scripts, but I’m sure that they’re not the highest standard.

i wouldn’t normally comment on something like this, but:

you keep commenting that the game “needs to have the graphics turned down” even on insanely high-spec computers.

if i’m playing on a computer as powerful as mine, or perhaps even more powerful, i shouldn’t need to turn down my graphics settings to play a roblox game. my computer can run pretty much any roblox game, aside from some of the most detailed showcases, which aren’t even meant to be playable in the first place, at 60 FPS on max graphics, and possibly even more if the FPS wasn’t limited.

on those same settings, i can only run your game at a max of 7 to 10. i had to turn my graphics settings all the way down for it to be playable at all. i can only imagine lower-end devices wouldn’t even be able to start the game without immediately crashing at this rate

please, for the love of all things holy, work on optimization. it’s possible to have a realistic-looking game that runs well on computers of all shapes and sizes: tons and tons of games, on roblox or not, achieve this easily, you just have to learn the right techniques

that being said, i think this game has potential regardless of whether you used your own assets or not (people hate when people use free models as you’ve probably seen by now, but we all start somewhere lol).

just fix a couple of the glaring errors people have mentioned in this thread and this game will be better by leaps and bounds

there are a lot of people that think Roblox is “unrealistic little kids game” and I want to change that

this is completely new and I recently made it public to see see how people think and it’s not completely done

I know Roblox is a imaginary platform I was saying that there are people that still think it’s a little kids game when it’s clearly not, I think you misunderstood what I was saying

That’s amazing!! You should consider advertising a little, your game could probably get it famous easily!

the gun and arms are not free models

I tried that many times but it doesn’t really work unless you spend thousands of robux

I’m working on making another map that’s actually playable and still looks realistic

What do you think of it?

This Is Just So Amazing I Don’t Know What To Say Anymore…

OMG, WTH. That one photo, congrats with what you got!

Hi,
So I tried your game and here is what I can say about it:

1. It’s not optimized at all
The train you added creates a huge amount of lag and FPS reduction. For example when I don’t look in its direction my FPS is quite good but when I look towards it, I can’t have more than 6 FPS, which is not playable at all.

2. Lack of character animation
I know this game is not finished but I’m here to make a feedback on what I’ve seen so far. The player’s arms don’t move at all and there is no reloading animation which is a really important point on a FPS game.

3. Useless UI
You put a UI on the bottom left corner which has, in my opinion, nothing to do here. Other UIs are good for now.

4. Models
As someone else told you, there are lots of assets that are not made by you in the game. It’s free so you actually did nothing wrong, but it’s always better to try to build your own models when doing a game alone.

You still did a great work, it’s really realistic and you’re confident with what you’ve created, which is good. But remember graphics aren’t everything in a game. It must be playable and have a good gameplay too.
Keep working, I’m sure you can make a really good game. Don’t hesitate to tell me when you improve it, I’ll enjoy testing it again!

I hope this feedback will help you, have a nice day!
