I believe unless they are under a subscription then they have to remove it for legal reasons.

That doesnā€™t mean they did it legally. You cannot use Quixel assets outside of Unreal Engine.

Even with a subscription as far as Iā€™m aware, these assets can only be used within Unreal. I think this was confirmed by Quixelā€™s team when a developer in another thread emailed them.

This is true although from what Iā€™ve read I am under the impression that it is allowed under very strict conditions.

I havenā€™t really looked into the topic so my apologies if I am in the wrong.

Making something that looks cool is only half the battle, the other half is performance.

Unless youā€™re planning for this to be a showcase, it will be very challenging for a lot of players to have fun in this game when my GTX 1070 canā€™t even keep up with it. Just taking a quick glimpse I can already tell you that your particles / lighting is almost taking up an entire frame of time on average.

I highly recommend you try out some optimizations with how things cast shadows, as well as perhaps using lesser amounts of particles without trying to break away from the design you have imagined. An easy way to do this is to generate lesser particles but make them less transparent.

Aside from lighting, I think you should work on making the rig and arms feel more realistic. The rig feels difficult to aim at targets and the gun & arms block a considerable portion of the screen. Maybe add some dampening springs so it also negates the jitteriness that comes with slightly touching the mouse.

Those are my thoughts, the screenshot looks cool though! :smiley:

Iā€™m working on making another map thatā€™s actually playable.

Looks nice, performance is subpar, as others have said. I have no problem with anyone using free models, but I do usually like to see combat based games use their own combat assets/engines, as it seems as though the guns in the game are from some fork of ACS.

You sure about that? Because whenever we give you it you get super defensive.

That is what I mean. You saw people make any criticism and then assume the person is calling the game garbage. You never thought about the criticism, you just called us who criticized it haters.

Roblox did not waste their time making free realistic assets just for people to say ā€œhey!!! you are using free model so you are bad for use free modelā€

My point was that itā€™s ok to use some free models, just try and make some things that are your own.

The assets are literally just Leaves and trees
