I guess that’s something to consider when creating a bug report: The possibility of a similar or exact topic already existing.
Actually I think this might be a different bug. Roblox is saying I have 22 messages but I cant find them anywhere. I only have 1 message in my archive.
It’s definitely related. Please add this information as a reply, as I said it is valuable. No stress though, it’s really not a big deal.
This is why I don’t create topics; things just get out-of-hand rather quickly.
I’ve only got one received message but its saying i have 22 new ones. I think it might be counting messages i sent or something.
23k here, I have a few thousand messages in total but nowhere near 23k

We believe that this was a bug with unread messages that had otherwise been archived being included in users’ unread messages counters. A fix is being worked on and should be live soon! Will update in this thread once we’ve verified
Will that also be the case on the “news” tab, which still notifies, us even if we have read it?
It has always gone away when roblox removes the messages later.
Hey Master3395! That shouldn’t be the case for News messages.
Don’t mark a post as the solution when the bug has not been fixed yet. It makes engineers think it’s solved… wouldn’t you agree?
It is solved on my end. But if you want me to un-mark it as solved, then I will do so.
We can confirm the fix works as intended, but unfortunately it may take time for some users’ message counters to readjust. To be transparent, there’s a certain % chance that this value will hard update whenever the webpage is loaded, so for some users this update may come earlier than others. Apologies for the inconvenience and we will continue to monitor this!
