Neon looks cool, but on any Graphic Setting below 6, it doesn’t look cool.
Here is what Neon on a “Medium stone grey” brick looks like with low graphic settings (doesn’t look grey!):
On lower graphic settings, Neon should be appear like the SmoothPlastic material, so it’ll look closer to the intended BrickColor.

Disagree. Neon is a type of “light” in a sense, so it should still be kind of like a light even on low settings.

I didn’t really think of it as a light source I guess you’re right.
You should still be able to tell the corners and edges of the part regardless tho

I think it’s fine the way it is. You’re just using a bad color as an example.

Most colors appear fine, but greys are too bright & oranges somehow end up being lighter yellow than actual yellow colors.

Grey doesn’t work because these are light sources. When you set the color you’re controlling the hue, not the brightness. The brightness is a fixed constant for neon parts. The idea of a grey light doesn’t make sense, because a grey surface is just a white surface that doesn’t reflect as much light.
