NEW ROBLOX DESIGN [teaser]

Calling all Roblox fans! ️ I’m on a mission to redesign the entire Roblox experience, and I’ve already tackled Roblox Studio! Now, I’m diving into the Roblox app itself, revamping the Discover, Avatar, and Home pages. :computer:

Right now, I can only offer a sneak peek with a teaser trailer, but with your support, I’m determined to bring this project to life! Let me know if you’re interested by interacting with this post! :white_check_mark:

Don’t forget to tell me your thoughts in the comments below. :thought_balloon:

I’d appreciate it if you’d share my work with your fellow devs! :technologist:

Love it. it implements the core features in a modern yet minimalistic way. I love the concept of pinned games, definitely something Roblox NEEDS to implement.

The sidebar seems to also be integrated into the page itself, which is a good thing since the current one requires you to click a button to see it.

Aside from that, the font and background color choices reflects the modern aesthetic of your design and fits really well.

Overall, I am in favour of your design and have no objections. It fixes a few shortcomings the current home page has and makes it more spacious and feel easier to navigate. I am curious as to how you’re doing this though. Nonetheless, keep up the good work!

Thank you for your feedback! In the final design, the sidebar expands when the mouse enters close proximity with it. I thought that would help users navigate with the software better. I guess you’ll have to wait and see!

Looks good, maybe a tad bit lighter instead of complete black would look good and I’d keep the name labels.

For my comment about being a tad lighter, having the name labels back might change my mind about being a tad lighter

Thanks for the feedback! However, the name labels for the friends and games can be seen when the mouse hovers over the element. All of that will be showcased once I’ve finished the project.

For those of you who don’t want to click on a link:

The side buttons are too small compared to the size of the game icons. Additionally, you should include the like % ratio, player count, and actual name of the game below each icon. The search bar needs more contrast as well.

Let me clarify, this is a sneak-peak. The final design has these issues resolved. Some of the changes I’ve made are to accommodate more information onto the user’s screen but also allow for the required information to be easily accessible.

Ah okay. I would probably have the name of the game at least.

I had the same dilemma but, I then thought: “Don’t all games have their names in their icons?”
But I’m curious as to how other developers feel about this

Alot also don’t.

It would be the whole Player Count issue (kinda)
