New Roblox Fishing Game ("Fisch")

It would be so cool if fish had camera and a menu like this!

Glad I quit the game when I did, this is actually terrible.

Game would be so much better off having occasional updates every few months than being in the hands of mr. p2w who updates the game with random slop each week, has boring, generic thumbnails and icons and by the sounds of it, completely ruins everything that made a game good.

  • Charm? No more! We need CORPORATE gameplay and visuals!

  • Most fish actually being real or inspired by a popular series such as Subnautica? B-But- Big evil thing to give dopamine!! :pleading_face:

  • Completely free progression path? Nah, canā€™t have fun, we going linear with this one! Level locking for the win! :fire:
    (I have the perfect example of a series on roblox that went from open-world to linear and lost its ENTIRE playerbase and broke everyones trust, its so bad to the point where its 7-year-old predecessor has higher CCU than the 1-year-old newer game, infact the listed points below also applies to this series! Twin Atlas sucks)

  • Only transactions being to support the game? Thatā€™s not P2W at all! We HAVE to add P2W!!
    Lootbox update next week :speaking_head:

  • The games easy to understand? Not anymore! Weā€™re adding 1 MILLION new mechanics that serve ZERO purpose but to make you play the game for longer!

  • You could complete the game in 2 weeks of playing? NOT LONG ENOUGH!! GRIND GRIND GRIND GRIND!!

Anyway, speaking of the thumbnails, you have the ones that look nice:

Like credit where credits due, its still ā€œrenderedā€ in roblox and not blender or anything external, but its not using any of the games actual lighting, its just bright, clear and saturated which is the complete opposite of the games desaturated, foggy and dim atmosphere.
Its just not fitting with the game or any of the other existing thumbnails. Whereā€™s the logo? The white border? the fact its actually using a location ingame? why is none of that present? Because of corporate.

From a game I actually enjoyed playing to a game I now never want to play again. All in a single move. Congratulations.

And oh my god- how did this manage to get this bad.

Look: Iā€™ve seen your previous replies and it is clear that you want to suggest some stuff to add and help fix bugs which is totally fine, but you are spamming this topic with replies not everyone wants to see.

You should DM woozynate if you have anything to say, as this is filling up the topic.

I am not trying to be hurtful, but you have made 9 posts in the topic in which are just lengthy replies that not everyone wants to see.

Atleast compile them into 1 reply, that would be much better.

yeah i realised this long before you commented
variations are determined by the prefix (mutation, the color palette) , and the size is random.
which creates a lot of variants, considering the number of species.

This topic is for feedback and criticism of the game. What else do you expect to see here? Just curious.

Your reply has been exactly what I have been thinking, but put into better words than I could have. The game is ruined, and forever in shambles until it dies.

Thank god someone who finally thinks like I do, Iā€™ve been going insane because according to many people I just hate everything.
Iā€™ve just been criticizing games for a while now, you get used to it.

Thereā€™s not many other ways you could have said it. Games get ruined because of corporate greed. Its as simple as that.

Remember that Twin Atlas game I mentioned?

(And incase it gets brought up, SB3 artificially inflated their stats by doing the ā€œlike and favorite the game for rewardā€ thing, previously it had barely any favorites and the like ratio was around 86%)

Time and time again it gets proven. When people care about anything and then something gets changed or something new gets made thatā€™s sole purpose is to make money, it ruins the product and destroys the trust in most of the people who liked it previously.

Swordburst 3 peaked at 17,000 CCU when it released AFTER ALPHA which had less players than the initial alpha release (which wasnā€™t tracked) and dropped insanely fast to sub-3000 CCU simply because the game was terrible, the devs refused to change it, and it was blatantly a cash-grab.

Given Swordburst 3 is worst case, the same logic can apply to fisch. As the game gets more P2W its probably going to lose its playerbase. Its a safe assumption to make, at least itā€™d be a safe assumption if most of the players are >13.

Majority of SB3s community were >16 and as you can assume, were extremely disappointed when the game was a boring simulator cash-grab compared to the last.

People will get bored of the small weekly content drops, the game will be too confusing and there will be just too much grind, and everyone will eventually leave.

Am I using this thread as an excuse to talk about SB3? Yeah, but it applies here. Its a near identical situation.

Iā€™ve been playing fisch since october 24th 2024, so i have some experience (level 250 btw)
The game in general is VERY polished and detailed, the fishing system is Great, Thereā€™s multiple islands and fish to discover, and trading + appraising! the only downside of the game is how the game teaches new players, when i first joined it took me like 30minutes to completely figure out how to fish, other than that Solid game! 9.5/10 from me!
