New Roblox Fishing Game ("Fisch")

Fisch is such a good game but I beg for Do Big Studios not to add P2W stuff because well they have Blade Ball

i didnt believe it at first but woozy nate is the worlds biggest sellout. bro ruined his game by selling it to Jandel. finnally a good RNG game that is original already lost its stlye and originatly. now it is p2w. smh

:100:
I never get it why we as players take so many things for granted. Woozy reserves all the right to do whatever he wants with Fisch, including selling it, if it aligns with his goals.
It’s disheartening, but game development, at the end of the day, is still a business. What the players see may not be the same as what the developer see. If someone hands me a sack of cash and sustains my game, it’s easier to say than done that I don’t hand my creation over.

this isnt p2w at all, 1k robux for 25k is not worth it. they made the prices so high so p2w doesnt happen, to get the best rod in the game you can either spend one day fishing for 700k in depths or spend OVER 30k robux, not worth it and is still massively f2p friendly

He was already on top earning, and at this point he has just fallen into the same trap of greediness. Making all of the new rare fish as large and eye-catching as possible, as well as those in-game purchases are just rolling in new, unneeded money into his wallet.

Not to mention, the starter pack is very questionable.

First of all, it has two exclusive items that you can only get if you aren’t a returning player, meaning existing players and collectors cannot get these items whatsoever. (That or I was afk in game for too long and the timer expired) I know it’s a starter pack but:

  1. Nate would make MORE Robux from letting existing players purchase these, as most Fisch players are collectors.
  2. It makes it very obvious why he’s selling to only new players. At least make these individual items available for purchase separately so existing players can get them. There’s also no way to see the stats before buying, other than looking it up.
  3. I’m unsure if this counts for the % of rods in the game collected, I’m assuming it doesn’t, as that would be horrible game design, but if it does, that’s pretty scummy.

Secondly, it only appears RANDOMLY, and for 10 minutes, with the non-discounted price being 499 robux, which is over 5000C$ (399 Robux), and I’d even go as far as to say it’s around the equivalent to the Steady rod (7000C$).

  • This means that most of the budget went into the fish radar, as the fischers rod is bad. (The plastic rod is better than this!??!?)
  • This means that for the original price, the player can get a much better rod such as the steady rod.
  • AGAIN, there is zero way to see the stats of anything prior to purchase, from what I know. I don’t even think these players will know what Fish Radar does at this point.
  • Using the previous points, we can conclude players won’t know how fast they can get items better than these and probably will buy these thinking they’ll use them for at least a while, as with starter packs in most games. Especially because this only lasts for 10 minutes because we love FOMO (fear of missing out) right guys!!

It’s passable since the price is so “low” (even though people buying it just for the rod makes it alot less passable imo), but still a bit questionable as the only thing worth it here is the boat, and you can get the jetski and radar fairly quickly by just asking people for fish at level 15 (you’ll already have the steady rod at like level 6)

Like people are paying unnecessary money because they think this rod is good, at least make it better than the SECOND (Third if you count the buddy bond rod, and even that’s better than this rod, even with the huge nerf from a 30% stat buff to a 5% buff.) OBTAINABLE ROD :man_facepalming:

I bought it thinking the rod was super good, just to see it is worse than steady (my current). The coral boat and radar is nice, but didn’t realize both can be achieved without paying.

Coral boat is exclusive, and it’s the only decent exclusive from it, but jetski is just so much better and so easy to get that you might as well just ask someone to bring you where you want to go instead of buy this.

Further proves my point that it’s targeted at unknowing players. There’s no way to even see the stats whatsoever before purchase, which I’m also adding to my original post.

Literally my dream game right here, good job dude.

This dude needs to chill, I feel like to be able to diss a game like this, you have to have a better game which is nearly impossible.

Dude, I play this game constantly, I’m playing it right now. Is it not the least bit questionable for the starter pack to be exexuted in this way?

I feel like im well within my right to say this since I basically beat the game, especially since I can’t craft any rods to progress further due to a bug with crafting and meteors.

I gave more constructive feedback relating to the game and it’s mechanics and not monetization in a previous reply. (Only like 1 thing from there even got added)

Ok, I get that you enjoy the game but just like chill a little bit, I get that you have a problem with the starter pack but you were saying it like the game did something really dumb or bad, almost forgetting the amount of pros of the game, just chill.

The game did do something really dumb. I would consider myself a “professional” (whatever that means in this context) at the game.

This topic is for criticism and feedback of the game. Your original post basically just said “I think this is good” and would definetly be marked as non-contributive if it said “I think this is bad.” No suggestions on how to improve the game whatsoever were given.

Also worth noting I never dissed the game. I was pointing out a singular scummy monetization tactic about it.

I feel like if you know the mechanics of a game well enough, you’re allowed to criticize it. I wouldn’t listen to someone’s feedback about Deepwoken if they can’t kill a single boss.

So, I just spent my whole entire day figuring out that the “bug” preventing me from crafting had to do with my things being favorited. This is not ideal as I favorited them to prevent them from being accidentally sold, and so does almost everyone else. It would be beneficial if this was fixed.

Stylistic choice, but upon rod being equipped, instead of just disappearing, the bobber should hang from it.
Stop making dialog so damn repetitive. Let me buy relics in bulk from merlin. Matter of fact, let me buy everything in bulk.
Wisdom rod is useless for an endgame area and rod. Buff it.

Being a primarily Rod for only XP, the stats shouldn’t be great, but you have to think about the GO-TO enchant being clever as opposed to something such as quality, making it really GOOD for people who use macros (and still not even the best) and really bad for people who don’t. You also have to consider that this is supposed to be THE XP rod.

Although the maximum weight is great for ensuring you don’t catch the wrong things, as small fish currently give the most XP, everything else about it, including the passive, is just garbage.

If the `Mutated` enchantment is put on a rod with a passive mutation, e.g aurora rod or mythical rod, it should buff the chance of the mutation in specific relating to the rod.
Sunken Rod should have a 1-5% chance to catch Sunken Fish. This is more of an added benefit instead of a money-making rod, as some people wouldn't use it as they're lazy to open chests. Thanks for adding, surprised this got added tbh.

you don’t need to be a professional to be a critic, just as a food critic most likely could not make food as great as they test.

also i completely agree with @TimeFrenzied :grimacing:

Wow, I put my fishing game up for feedback and 5 people looked at it… After over a year of work, what is your secret. Congratulations!

Individual VARIATIONS. He probably randomizes the size with code.

Rods are now locked behind a level barrier, which makes them pretty much unobtainable to casual players because of the requirements being insanely unfair. I’m only bringing this up now because I’ve seen people literally quitting the game because of this.

These insane level requirements make it harder for regular players and easier for macroing players.

Think about it this way, many people have been playing DAILY since the halloween event, and are still only level 100. Do you really wonder why people macro? You’re practically encouraging them to.

If you use the logic that the level requirement is so high because people macro, a counter argument would be that

  1. People macro because the level requirement is high.
  2. This hurts the experience of anybody who doesn’t macro. (And hence, makes them macro, which is “frowned upon”)
  3. If it wasn’t so high, less people would need to macro to obtain these rods. BUT… Premium payouts :money_mouth_face:
TL;DR “Is the level requirement so high because people macro? Or do people macro because the level requirement is so high?”

Not to mention, all of the level rods are horrible, the XP rod is possibly the worst rod for XP, and the ones past level 500 don’t even matter since the rod unlocked just for reaching the level is better itself.

Speaking of macros being encouraged, even though they are “frowned upon,” there’s a new rod, locked behind level 500 mind you, that incentivises you to catch 250 fish (about an hour) for a 5 minute luck boost.

If you go to the top servers of the game, it’s almost entirely bots. Not even joking, go check full servers and scroll to the right ten times, tell me there isn’t a bot server on each page. I dare you.

Exploits are also crazy in the game, which I honestly don’t mind since it prioritizes real players to make the game smoother, but harms players who grinded to be on the leaderboard.

What’s next, giving premium players an XP boost?
