This is really cool, but an idea would be if you could like set up your own baseplate as you spawn it in before opening the place itself.

Like maybe there could be a button where you make your own template and upload it or maybe a market of templates.

Then there could have the baseplates (grass terrain, baseplate, baseplate 2021) have customizeable size ui come up before it loads, so you can have a big space to work with or maybe a small space if needed.

I love this change so much. This looks and feels professional, simple changes like this make a big difference in how Roblox presents itself as a development platform.

This is super cool! But if it was some sort of option for lighting baseplate, maybe a dummy I feel it would be much better as for me and other modelers it would be much easier to get started. So something that would be able to create your own personal templates instead of files would be nice.

Its nice to see some of this being automatically set up for developers for free. This helps eliminate the risk of getting a fake plugin and makes life easier for those who donā€™t know how studio works.

The new baseplate feels and looks more modern than I expected!

Nice job, Roblox! I am not disappointed.

I kinda like the skybox and lighting, it makes the template feel
more nicer and gives off a modern vibe to it.

Omg! Yes! I love the new update!! Guys, you still have the option to use the old one (I believe) so this is not being forced upon us, even still, CHANGE HAPPENS T=T

Very pleased with this, my first objective when creating a new place is always a neutral skybox + lighting values such as diffuse and specular to 1. This will save back a lot of time collectively!

Itā€™s a seperate template all the way at the bottom, Baseplate Classic is still at the top :coefficients:

I will definitely miss the OG baseplateā€¦ it was the first thing I ever saw when I started my career :pensive:

Yeah this is definitely gonna make me cry, because this made up most of my childhood memories :sob:

I honestly donā€™t see much of a change lol. More useless changes that do literally nothing. This isnā€™t even a QoL improvement this is literally something a plugin let you do and anyone with a few weeks under their belt could do :confused:
