New Trades Page - Available for All Users

For some reason I can’t see the new trade page but I’m in the beta program??

The new Trades page has now been rolled out for all users!

Feel free to post in this thread if you encounter any bugs or issues.

Glad it’s out, however, updating the Trade tab is rather redundant without any new limiteds. The last limited released was Black Friday 2019, and LimitedUs even further back in the President’s Day sale. Are you planning to release new limiteds? If not, then when will UGC limiteds come out like the original post on UGC described? Anyway, super excited for one of my favorite aspects of the site to finally receive updates. Thanks!

Another suggestion: The legacy sending links (for example Login) still work. We should instead have them redirect to the new page.

This update appears to have been completely botched for mobile use, at least for me and it’s incredibly tedious to use. I am genuinely surprised that this has somehow manged to have been rolled out to more users.

I am currently using Chrome on a Samsung S10+ and this has been my experience of this update:

Immediately I find that the site does not want to make up its mind as to which “trades tab” it wants to use.

Now when trying to trade with someone, irrespective of whether the phone is portrait or landscape the page becomes huge and unwieldy, it takes me me multiple scrolls to navigate not just my own inventory but the other persons. And when they have up to 50 pages of hats which aren’t even sorted in alphabetical order and there is no search box? It’s impossible.

These items overlap and just the slightest bad touch and you are sent to the item’s page and have to go through the whole process all over again.

It was rolled as the trade page does not have mobile support at the moment, nor did the previous one. Mobile support is planned to be added later on in which trading will be accessible directly from the app and be optimized for smaller screens.

That’s frustrating to hear. It just means that my ability to trade has been needlessly impeded on mobile for the unforeseen future. They should not be rolling it out at all if it does not work on mobile, or at least they should allow users to choose to revert for the time being.

How many weeks or months am I going to have to put up with this?

It is being rolled out because the old trading page did not have mobile support meaning there is no user expectation of mobile support for the new trading page.

Patience is key as the trading pages and systems have not been updated for a long time. The page being redone to meet modern standards is already a great update. Mobile support and multi-language support are both on their way

Thank you very much for the update. It’s a really good update, minimizing the annoying things.

My only complaint is that there’s no feature to increase/decrease the size of the trade window. The previous trade UI was too small on my computer, and things like the numbers 5, 6, 8, and 9 were hard to distinguish. Here, however, the issue is reversed: the trade window is too big to fit on my screen, and there’s a lot of redundant spacing.

Can we have more options to change the size of certain aspects of the trade tab? I don’t think the pictures need to be that big, for instance, and I’m tired of having to zoom out every time I trade, or have every other normal sized page be smaller.

Looks very nice! Will the Sales/Transactions page also get a update soon?

The “old trading page” worked far better than this one to the extent that I didn’t even know it was considered “not supported”. It was completely functional and presented with no issues, a lot of credit should go towards the team who worked on it back in 2012.

The windowless layout is a welcome improvement, and they have finally managed to catch up with what third party extensions have been offering for a few years and have implemented a dark theme. Unfortunately it has made trading on mobile incredibly tedious and considerably worse than before.

I’m aware. And the main things people have asked for still have not been implemented. Like more trade slots, a search box etc, . As much as I hope they will do these, I’m not holding my breath. :crossed_fingers:

Sure but in the meantime a few thousand users will be inconvenienced because an unfinished update is already being pushed out, which is a real shame.

This is brilliant, thank you very much for this, this new one is very up to date and the UI on it makes it easier to trade, I’m guessing the sales/transactions marking page will be getting a update soon! Epic job roblox :roblox:

I’ve been waiting for an update for the trades page for so long now, and the new one is perfect and fit to modern roblox, the only thing that bothers me is that it does not show how many inbound, outbound, completed and inactive trades you have. In the old page this was displayed in the dropdown. Hopefully that will be added soon.

Very Great update, i hope they improve the developer page.

Excellent, blends in a lot more with the current website design and the dark mode is a huge plus!

But you really need to make it so that we don’t get a new message for every trade, as I sometimes wake up to 20+ trade requests. Perhaps they should come in as notifications instead?

This announcement only pertains to the new trades page and this request is out of the scope of the trades page. There are some feature requests for this already you can give a like to support:
