Probably one of the most useful updates for me. It will help me to get my team’s work together quickly and efficiently.
Looks a lot better and is definitely more efficient, thanks for this update!
Imagine all the people copying and pasting those models and then giving them away for free.
I doubt we’ll be able to sell assets in the future but we’ll see…
Just what I was wanting; Thanks so much ROBLOX!
Wish we had the feature where you could click on the Creator’s username and it would show you the items that they had made. (Same for Groups too)
I don’t remember where the post from Seranok is, but yes, they plan on moving everything development wise to Studio. This will make their workflow more efficient as they won’t need to coordinate with the web development team on certain projects.
With new DMCA enforcements we’re a step closer to seeing that possibility in the future. It’s still a stretch and probably needs more work but honestly with the direction things are heading I wouldn’t look at it in such a negative light.
I’m so glad you can finally sort by the creator, the categories are an amazing addition as the list was getting very long.
Here’s a few bugs or suggestions:
-
Very small typo while previewing a model, shouldn’t it be URL or am I mistaken?
-
This seems kind of small and may be easier to read if it expands to cover the model preview until the player clicks the button again.
-
It doesn’t seem that Inventory has any way to sort through my large collection of models/decals.
-
This isn’t very noticeable as nobody would really consider doing this, but if you keep zooming in to the preview model it will get to a point where the camera becomes “inverted” and starts to move weird.
Other than that I love the update, thanks for another great addition!
I rarely use the Toolbox, but I can see how this updates makes a difference in the eyes of other developers.
Hey! This is just a suggestion, but to add onto this can you implement the Plugin Management into the Toolbox?
I feel it’d be a lot faster and efficient to be able to just click the dropdown menu and select a “Plugins” filter and to find plugins than to load up a webpage with a browser so bare bones that it lacks an address bar. You know, one of the most important features of a web browser?
This probably is pretty complicated and might not ever happen but I’d still like to see you guys try. It’d make looking for plugins a whole lot easier =)
Loving it! At first, I was shocked when the toolbox was updated and lost most of its functionality, but now I think everything is just fine Inventory separation gonna help a lot when developing! Thanks!
URIs are “Uniform Resource Identifiers” which can be names, locations, or both for online resources.
URLs are just locations. All URLs are URIs, not all URIs are URLs.
somehow, toolbox went obvious by the tab’s name “Marketplace”
I only recently discovered this when doing some OAuth2 stuff and it shocked me. My entire life is a lie!!
Love the new update, it does a great job streamlining the Toolbox!
I see what you mean, that has been the debate for years. What do you believe is the barrier that stops Roblox from adding this feature though when Unity has had this feature seemingly perfected for years? I’m curious.
Awesome! I’ve wanted something like this. Have the search algorithms been improved at all?
We ain’t in FamFamFamSilk anymore bois
There’s no way to stop people from copying things and giving them out for free. It just simply won’t work. Even if someone files a DMCA on something stolen, once it’s free, there’s no telling who has it. It will always be floating around somewhere.
It’s the same with Unity though, right? I could easily give out anything that I buy from them. Somehow it still works though?
I like the new updates and the direction Roblox is going.
The new update makes it easier to search things up.
Thank you.
