If the SystemMenu removal was anything to go by, it is very likely going away with this new ribbon.
To be honest, I’m starting to feel like the people who hated said removal, and I don’t even like SystemMenu to begin with.

Also, I have also had ROBLOX Studio locking up with this new ribbon after playtesting sometimes, I haven’t had a single lock up ONCE when I disable the new ribbon beta.
Out of curiousity, is the team also going to address the fact that the UWP windows is still a weirdly jittery mess?
This is just UWP ROBLOX on the start screen and I noticed this in any game… not just my team’s. It doesn’t even make sense…
Les just hope its not buggy then its a bigggg W
Yeah that would be nice then its would make it better
Keeping two whole different systems is difficult to do, so good luck getting used to the new UI.
If you get a crash that only happens when the Beta is on, please send logs. I don’t think we have any known crash issues currently.
I literally added the Screenshot tool in the custom tab demo animation just for you.
I saw that, I was talking about it being there by default. It’s there by default on the QT Ribbon so I dont see much reason why it can’t be here?
Edit: Would like to add, I use this button quite a lot since I find it way more convenient to do it this way instead of using snipping tool and it gives me raw screenshots. I have to OBS Game Capture on the New Ribbon to get raw screenshots.
Yes. Because we have not yet changed the spacing since we first got the UI working.
It’s been the #1 comment since we released the Beta and it’s our #1 priority before we launch out of Beta.
I’d really love for plugins to be able to have buttons in the main ui tabs (as well as their own tabs entirely), it’d really help being able to have frequently-used plugin buttons in the home tab for example.
You gotta use the new UI if you want it!
Since people in a discord server im in are asking this, are there plans to add the view tab in the new UI by default? By that i mean that instead of adding it via the new custom tabs, why not add it as a default tab like in the QTUI.
Just do this? Again not trying to be snarky, just making sure I understand the request.
I’m assuming they want better organization on this new UI, i can understand it, but it means that features on the QT ribbon are missing by default and they have to be added via custom tabs, not a huge deal but its a bit annoying.
Nearly everything that was in the View tab is now in the View and Window menus that are always available regardless of the tab selected. But yes you can also have them in custom tabs.
will the full release add the ability to add custom drop downs ?
Would removing the x
on the game window tab be considered? This doesn’t happen for me anymore since I’ve learned to be more careful, but there has been times where I’ve accidently clicked it from closing a bunch of other tabs and ended up closing my session too.
The option to close the session in the File tab and the key bind are enough to easily and intentionally leave a studio session in my opinion.
Nice one with the tab hiding!
Although I do wish for even more options for customizability.
I know studio isn’t on linux(sadly), but it should behave like it! Customization must become something you can do for hours on end!
Things like putting the tab location on the right could be included for the 1% who may want it there
Hmmm… the “X” is there because if you undock the Viewport, it will re-dock it. I’m not sure if we can hide the close button when it is docked but I can ask our devs!
