Unreasonably rude. Try reading the post (You’ll be able to add custom tabs, and more customization features. Also, this might not even be the final design used when it’s fully released.)
Also try using constructive criticism.

I know it’s a beta feature and can be toggled on and off but when it eventually becomes a full feature I’d still like for it to be toggled because I work a lot in studio and have everything down to muscle memory and 1. I don’t have the time to relearn some UI and 2. I don’t want to.
The new UI doesn’t look bad it’s the specific placement and layout of it. So I really ask that when this gets finished if you can still have the option to have the old UI, even though the ‘old’ UI doesn’t even look old in the first place.
Not sure if it’s already been mentioned but if this is to be forced in the future, an easy way to collapse the tabs like the current, non-beta, UI allows us to do (double click any tab to toggle them being collapsed).
Additionally, a way to resize the tab labels and tabs themselves, vertically and horizontally, so we don’t have a massive big bar on top of our screens while we program, play test, take screenshots, record footage, etc.
EDIT: apparently the top bar with the tab labels is called a ribbon and is “docked” or “undocked” which probably should be renamed to “Hidden” and “Visible” since undocked implies it is movable or positioned else where
I feel like it should still automatically go to the “Script” tab when you open a script.
This will sadly not be possible. But look at this., we can possibly expect something similar.
Yeah, seems fair honestly.
Happy to see this. This seems like an interesting change, but the new UI right now takes up far too much real estate. I’m of the personal belief that UI elements should take up the minimum-possible amount of screen space, so I hope something like this gets implemented before these features are rolled out fully.
The top-bar is basically the only non-customisable part of the Studio screen at the moment, so to make its minimum size significantly bigger as part of a customisation improvement seems like putting cart before horse.
This auto-enabled in my Studio’s betas, and I immediately turned it off.
I don’t hate it, but it does NOT fit my style and workflow. I was actually extremely satisfied with Roblox’s UI already. I think it is important not to change things for the sake of change - If your designers need something to do, there are better things to be working on than a complete overhaul of Studio.
I hope that this remains an optional design, and remains compatible with the original design as an option going forward. I can see plenty of people liking this, but it does not seem like an upgrade or really necessary.
I totally agree. I think a lot of the UI elements currently are way too big.
I tried the new ui, and its been a pain for me to use, its quite hard to navigate through some things as some of the things seem hidden
Another problem I have is the missing features, it has potential but still needs work in my opinion
i hope they add a option to enable the old one because its hard getting used to the new one
You can change it back. File → Beta Features → Next Gen Studio Preview and turn it off
This UI update, for the most part, I absolutely do not like. I immediately turned it off after I realized:
This UI update needs ALOT of fixing before it could even be considered usable for me. Right now the existing UI is perfect (despite some features being removed over time like the UI toggle)
If this new UI becomes a permanent change with no option to revert to the legacy UI, I may have to stop developing on Roblox. I say this not out of frustration alone, but because the current update significantly reduces my workflow efficiency and removes core features I rely on. I really enjoy creating on this platform, even if my games don’t reach a wide audience, so I hope Roblox reconsiders or offers more flexibility for developers like me.
how do i disable this? it super annoying and messy
You go to File> Beta Features> Scroll down to Next Gen Studio Preview> Uncheck it, save, and restart studio!
I don’t mind the refreshed appearance, however I am opposed to certain menu’s being moved. Doesn’t seem very necessary as it was already easy enough to navigate the UI.
i hate this new ui its going to be such a pain to learn and i dont want to, dont change something that doesnt have to be changed
Please make this a feature where you can turn this on and off. Let the people who want it have it and the people who don’t be able to turn it off. Please.
This needs to be optional. They pray they listen, just once.
