My screenshot is from 669. Also: there’s numerous flags associated with the upcoming release so if you’re overriding flags, there’s a strong chance you’re missing quite a few.
Absolutely. I’ll probably let production version do its thing without any flag overrides after the feature fully gets released, though until then I’ll be a hunter.
You probably already know this, but in case you don’t, this thing looks pretty out of place in the new UI. Is this being worked on?
The reason is both because the fact that the background of the tabs is completely square (which I like the most), but the other stuff is round.
There is also a little border on the old one, but in the new one there is none.
is it just me or are a bunch of the binds just not working correctly? please tell me there’s a way to revert because this is clearly unready.
Turn the beta feature off. FILE → Beta features and scroll down
Binds? Like shortcuts?
Those shouldn’t be affected at all so if you have more specific information that would be helpful.
yeah binds like focus and delete just seem to no longer properly work whenever you move the object or other similar actions, sorry I don’t know what exactly triggers it but it’s spontaneous and random. seems to mostly occur for me with objects such as models, perhaps it’s an issue with the selection? the menu with left click works fine for it but not using the binds.
Okay making this reply just cuz I wanna know if I’m the only one who thinks this:
Is it just me that think that it’s annoying that there’s nothing to the left of these buttons to make them go more to the right? (Unlike the old one, there was clipboard stuff)
Like you have to move your mouse longer to get to them.
Thank you. Excited to see when that gets released!
The shortcuts should be unrelated. Try deleted the camera instance in workspace and see if that fixes your keybinds whenever they break.
I know I am a bit late, but thank you for pushing this. It is super simple to play test now and I have not had to switch back to the old UI since.
I recently switched to the new studio beta and I’ve had an issue with one of my plugins causing empty slots, I let the plugin creator as well but figure I’d let you guys know in the chance it could also be some underlying bug.
nice tab editor but im just stuck with unclosable windows when acidently activated a tool instead of editing it now my pc think i need to close a window first but on both so i cant click both away
editing the position can be done beter if its in the 3 dots right you cant anymore move and you need to much clicks to reposition further why the priority for another tool in dropdowns is gone
as i has format document on top
created a tab for my own plugins as they in some way be added into the 3 dots
So how do i open the tab editor?
edit: you have to right click an you should see a “Manage Tabs” option
Can you add a feature to change Roblox Studio’s theme colors, like making it red?
I’m asking because when I switch my script editor theme, the default Studio colors don’t match and feel weird. It’d be a cool feature to have.
I’ve got a few different replies on this. But the short answer is: not yet, but will be technically possible, and it’s something we’re interested in supporting.
You figured it out! We are leaning pretty heavy on right click right now. It’s just the fastest, cleanest way to get the functionality out there.
Sent to our devs. We’ve been fighting a bit with window layering. Similar issue with the tooltips.
Love the emoji in the tab!
I’m not sure I quite understand the position editing suggestion? This is for moving tools within a tab? I should say our ideal goal here is to allow drag and drop reordering. Sounds like this might solve your issue?
Yeah, we’ll keep working with the window layering… it’s been tricky to manage with dialogs.
