When did he say anything about your anticheat
he replied to my message so i assumed he was talking about citadel
Tbh never heared of âcitadelâ i dont know how your anticheat is such a big deal
Citadel V3 hasnât detected V4 yet Iâm waiting for my detection, sir, packpngtexture. The other exploits detections are (maybe) patched on V4, but Iâm not sure
Anyway, back to the thread topic: youâll need user support for this. The main issue is the ban list management, because allowing a switch to ban lots of people from an experience at once is, well, tough for most developers. And as I have said previously, exploiting in some cases, it is better left untouched unless it really begins affecting user experience, at which time it is easier to fix up the situation by doing proper validation if you are not doing so than by holding a global blacklist. If the validation isnât enough, then a generic anticheat should be considered, and if that still doesnât work, a targeted one should do. Global bans are never the solution in this case; you as a developer would suffer from seemingly randomly banning/kicking users from your game.
citadel v3 does not support studio exploits as only the game developer can use them and i have no use in detecting the games developer in studio
Well what do you want me to do then
Okay ive heared your feedback but theres not a solution i can make from your feedback
then it is undetected to citadel
ud till ported to normal roblox app
You need some way of just proving you wonât misuse further than words, in my opinion however, youâre better off asking more of the developer community. in my opinion, banning/kicking this aggressively isnât beneficial, but it is not up to me on that
Idk, Iâm probably making RbxStu V4 into a studio modding platform or some monstrosity of the like
Well⌠How can prove i wont misuse?
Itâs a hard thing to do really, you need lots of trust, thatâs the main factor playing against you Iâd say
Well i just need 1 popular game and im goodâŚ
But thats the issue
Glitching in a game doesnât automatically mean someone should be banned. Many popular games actually have systems in place with scripts that automatically reload/respawn the players if they cross an invisible barrier instead of banning them for glitching
I would recommend making a name for yourself before all else, right now, nobody knows who you are (not to be rude)
So I would recommend just doing things to grow your reputation, such as helping people in scripting support, being a part of memelands :D
making resources that dont as much require trust.
And overall time people will learn to like you, like loads of people trust some of the big people around here like 5uphi, or who ever made profile service.
Building trust is probably you should do before hand, cause than you have people who will use it, and once people use it, more people will try it,
Yes, I think more developers should implement restrictions/barriers instead of straight up kick/ban triggers, I got kicked several times from Resident Massacre for âexploitingâ when I simply got clipped into walls, I got banned from untitled roleplay game for supposedly exploiting when I had an extremely high ping spike, etc⌠Itâs extremely annoying for low-end users, even though these people are the ones who likely make up the majority of your playerbase
This resource doesnât even work because nothing is stopping me from creating a game in studio, then loading the avatar of another player, using external tools so it shows their name on the roblox menu as said player Iâm trying to frame, and then claim they are exploiting on my game and then sending the proof to their discord server, then boom! they are banned on every single other game.
In fact I am going to do that right now.
Okay do it.
Lets see it. Im excited
Calling someone that is crazy. Some people might not particularly like each other on this forum but NEVER would I call them a nobody whether itâs as a joke or within the context of ânot being rudeâ. Karma is real folks. Donât say stuff like that. Not cool.
what? are you just gonna âoh okay then why dont you actually stop yippity yappity and go prove itâ instead of actually taking their feedback and figuring out a solution? your only problem (as of right now, besides point of failure) is trust as everyone has said. someone can claim that x is exploiting when its just part of the game feature. since your goal is to have a semi-global ban list, of course you cant give the developers access to put anyone in the global ban list. but also legally, whats stopping you from misusing your own service? what if your service fails/broke down? what if your service is breached?
âglobalâ carries a lot of weight, you are responsible for keeping all of this together, secure, and cohesively.
