why have some faces of a cube (small yellow) got their normals inverted after unioning with another one (big red)?
Can you send some more pictures? It is kind of hard to determine what’s happening in the picture you provided.
it appears everything is correct, but this way of changing color blends depending on whether the objects are unioned or not seems very strange
I think it may be because the Union is setting the transparency of the yellow block to match the red one.
Try selecting them in a different order, or making the red block opaque.
both blocks are transparent and this is intentional and desired; the fun fact is, it obviously does NOT remove the back face of the yellow block after unioning, BUT it treats the blend mode as if it did
mmm messed around a bit and the problem seems to go away if you make the material glass
glass has always been special - there are special shaders attached to that material which provide caustic effect
ok so are you saying you… cant use glass? or…?
Z-buffer alpha-channel overlap bug that is unfixable
lol notice right and left sides still act normally, while top and bottom ones are subjected to this bug
