Notes Plugin Out Now!

The plugin: https://create.roblox.com/store/asset/18610876552/Notes

It’s easy to forget important tasks, especially during long coding sessions. That’s where this plugin comes in. Designed to aid your memory and to ensure you will never miss a task again.

You can write anything into the text box and with that come countless use cases.

Tell me your update suggestions for this plugin!

not to hate or anything but i dont really see a reason why someone would use this, it would be just better to use notepad which you can actually save

I get that but the difference with this plugin and notepad is that you can have a live reminder, it’s with you no matter what you do in Studio

I’ve recently started creating plugins to help community members who might need them.

You can have a live reminder with notepad. What’s the point in using this over any ToDo List plugin or Ro-tasks?

Because having something in your studio and something outside does make a big differene. Even though there’s a live reminder with notepad, it’s a little more tidious to set up and also you don’t constantly see the text in the notepad because it is a seperate window. Ro-Tasks doesn’t allow for long texts as it is made to only hold a sentence for its subject and maybe people want to write more; this plugin allows it.

This plugin was just released and I plan to update it. It’s getting improved and more functionalities will be added.

By live reminder do you mean just having text on the screen? This seems like you just put a text box with TextScaled as a plugin and published it. What is special about this?

Isn’t this just a textbox in a widget? What can you possibly add besides saving? Just curious.

Your point? Not trying to be rude when I say this, just wondering if you’ve ever even used Ro-Tasks.

Oh no I haven’t used Ro-Tasks, thought it didn’t allow for long texts. Yeah for scripter Ro-Tasks is the plugin to opt for. However its interface may be challenging at first for developers of immature age. My target audience aren’t pro-scripters, my target audience is general as my plugin is a simple notepad.

I can add text costumization; text color, text size, text font and as you said, saving.

That’s exactly what this plugin is. This was my first plugin so I didn’t put much effort into it and published the prototype. I wanted to get experience in creating plugins. I’ll be updating it, with the goal of providing a helpful plugin.

Then, what’s the point of using it over a simple to-do list plugin or comment in a script?

When will you need to really write more than this as a reminder, and what beats just using a normal script?

Also, why would you need this in a reminder, and again, what beats using it over a regular script or screengui with a textbox? Not trying to be rude at all when I say this, even if it comes off a little agressive

I understand, it probably came off as if I had advertised it as a task reminder but that’s not what I was going for. It’s a visual placeholder of whatever the user wants to write down. I created this notepad to be visually appealing, simple to use and flexible for writing. The user will be able to select text and change the font, color, size and have the entire text saved and I also plan on adding multiple pages to it. I know the prototype as it is, is not as great as it can be and many might find it useless but it’s got its own charm
