I’m hoping this is an unoptimized beta version, because I shouldn’t be losing 20fps when I open the menu
I love the new icons that were added for the HandleAdornment classes and Motor6D.
Can we expect to see more class icons given a face-lift in the future?
Several of them still don’t look very good while using the dark theme.
If there’s any interest, I’ve been using this modified set of class icons for a few years now:
If any of you folks on Roblox’s product team are interested in adopting these icons, you can have them for free! I’d just like to see some of these get cleaned up in an official capacity after all these years.
Here are some highlights:
The new Insert Object Window does not play nice with fps trackers. The tech stack we are using for the window only redraws, on an as needed basis. This means if you open the window and do nothing you could easily see 1 fps. If you grab the scrollbar and start rapidly scrolling up and down that number should rapidly increase.
If you believe this is not the case and you are noticing performance issues please re-comment.
We will, however, be doing some fine tuning of the scrolling behavior before release.
Nono, we are happy to see your face.
Was that video a Roblox logo?
hmmm, i’m not one to judge buttttt…
Pretty epic actually, I have a suggestion. Let’s say Coefficients is trying to insert a meshpart which will be a statue of himself. Could we have the option to right click a meshpart so it shows it’s ID box so we could load it as a statue and not some checkered part? Or even, a more broad suggestion in general… could we edit the properties of a object before it’s inserted?
Apart from that, your face is beautiful and so if this workflow improvement.
can i marry you and coefficients
It’s hard to see in this GIF, but the tween on the button highlight makes it feel less responsive.
I am sorry to have to ask but how do you dock the Insert Object window.
Its showing as just an overlay for me.
The new Motor6d Icon, being revamped, looks way better than an ordinary blue scare which it initially was.
The feature of the Object Insertion is amazing!
I liked the smooth moving bar that you scroll down and up, and it’s expanded view look nice! The settings is really useful too. I really appreciated and liked the Beta update from the Object Insertion, and I’m hoping forward to see more updates to Roblox Studio.
Amazing job!
I actually like the tween highlight, it gives a smooth feeling
I think seeing it to be less responsive is just an eye illusion and has nothing to do with performance
Is there any way we can use these ourselves?
I use CTRL+I to open up the menu quickly when inserting objects, but my explorer is kept really tiny to the right side so the popup menu ends up getting cut off. Can it check to see which side of Studio it’s on so that it can adjust properly?
Thanks for reporting this! we will get that fixed.
I just realized that this is dependent on mouse position, but the cropping is still an issue if the mouse is too far to the right.
I’m not so sure about having to double click the object to insert it now
I like the options to hide and show recommended objects. Don’t like the button to pop out the panel, seems unnecessary considering you can simply drag out the panel. Also way too easy to hit accidentally. I doubt I’d accidentally pop it out but I can imagine anyone with physical limitations or a touch screen could easily make this mistake several times.
This is such a great new feature
This looks really nice, though I think for some people it will take some getting used to. The search feature is probably the best part!
The new object insertion window looks really nice, definitely a welcome improvement upon the older windows!
The window doesn’t clamp itself to stay within the bounds of the screen. This screenshot is showing the top of the insert window being cut off at the top.
Also when opening the window using CMD + I, the window should be placed where my explorer selection is, not at the mouse position.

I’m getting a massive FPS drop when using this feature.
