Object Insertion Workflow Improvements [Live!]

From what i noticed, this has taken the place of advanced objects.

Hello, ever since this update has gone live insert objects just would not open for me I have been trying to fix this issue for over a day now and I could not find anyone else with a similar issue, this is probably because I have a really bad computer but still, it has worked in the past for me.

Clarification:-

  1. Yes I have tried pressing Ctrl + I (Advanced Objects would open fine for me before)
  2. When I open Insert Object panel from Model tab its just empty, nothing else.
  3. The “+” Button near objects has never worked for me.

It would be nice if there was an option to have it as it was before in Studio Settings as some people don’t like it as much as others do. Thank you for reading this.
(I’m just going to make an insert object plugin to not bother anyone instead)

Yes i saw, i was looking for advanced objects for like 5 minutes but couldn’t find it.

Is there any chance the old insert menu will remain as an optional setting? I feel like this would satisfy every party - the new menu is enabled by default, and users who prefer the old menu could opt out of this feature entirely.

Alternately it’s going to take existing developers a long time to adjust to this new menu and can be expected to significantly disrupt our workflow, despite being labelled as an improvement, I like to quote “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”

It’s very handy and will help a lot. Thank you!

I originally disliked this feature however that has certainly changed! I really enjoy being able to search for objects and insert them in just a few keystrokes. The categorization of the object list will definitely make new developers feel less overwhelmed by the many objects in Roblox.

Thank you griff for responding with whats going on and keeping us up to date. For that much thanks! <3
