Ok to use Roblox Studio Mod Manager to go back to old UI?

Hello!

I haven’t done anything with my game yet since this new Roblox UI just doesn’t look like it suits me.

The new UI looks nice though.

I can’t scroll on the topbar anymore, nor control its size.
Also, the coding highlight hurts my eyes.
The top is very distracting, and the colors don’t feel right.

Is using Roblox Studio Mod Manager ok to use since its a modified client?

Apparently, it can switch to older versions of Roblox Studio.

I don’t think you can use modified clients on Roblox anymore but you probably won’t get in trouble for doing something like that anyway but idk

Just get use to it, I’ve been using it for the past 6 months cause I know roblox is not keeping the current UI for much longer and yes it had it’s issues in the beginning but a lot of those issues have been resolved.

Most people I see complaining about it just haven’t used it, they just judge the book by its cover without actually reading the pages inside. You can modify the new topbar so if you want to make the topbar smaller right-click on it and you can either make it compact, remove the labels, or edit the entire topbar. If you wanted to remove certain categories, you can or if you wish to add more you can do that as well.

Once you get use to the new UI it’s honestly a breeze to use. I rarely sit around trying to find stuff anymore cause I’ve adjusted my studio to match what I’m working on. They are working on implementing custom icons again so if custom icons mean so much to you as they did to me you’ll enjoy it. I’ll have to find the particular post about it but they do also plan on expanding the colors, so not only will you be able to adjust the script-editor colors but all the colors with studio. The issue with the previous QT-Based Studio is a lot of things were hardcoded into the system.

For things such as studio-plugins that used QT all the colors were already pre-existing onto that UI and wasn’t based off what the values actually were. They’ve been updating and adjusting the colors and trying to get developers on the same page with using the real colors rather than pre-set values so when they do implement custom colors all you plugins match with the rest of studio rather than being out of sync.

I need to post a PSA or something about this at this point. Someone complains about this exact issue every day.

How do you know they aren’t keeping it?

because one is written using QT and the new one is in lua.

it doesn’t make sense to try and support two versions with a different code set. plus they’ve already said it themselves they are keeping the old version when the new one is fully released
