OpenWeb is Roblox’s first ever no-code website builder, allowing developers & group owners to develop, design, and customize their own websites.
OpenWeb is an interactive UI based experience on Roblox where users can develop their own website for free. The indented audience are developers and group owners that need a simply yet accessible website to host some information for their group, and have access to edit their site quickly and on the go.
It works as follows.
Pick out your URL. Each user will be given one free subdomain of the groupable.co domain that they are able to chose. Example: https://NAME.groupable.co. This will be where all contents of your website are displayed.
Once finished designing your website, hit publish! Check out your URL buy visiting the site in your browser. NOTE: Revisit our website editor game to instantly edit and re-load your website 24/7!
OpenWeb works by sending HTTP requests back and forth between a web server that hosts all of our sites. When a user registers a URL in our experience, the subdomain is registered under their account and claimed, providing 100% ownership to the subdomain that they chose.
Features
The OpenWeb Design Studio (editor game) allows you to add these features when designing your website Text: Titles (Large and small), text bodies, articles. Media: Images, YouTube videos, social link cards. Forms: Discord webhook forms. (When a user submits the form, a webhook is sent to your Discord server)
Other features, like metadata, are included to support SEO/crawling and formatting link embeds when your site is shared.
The best part about OpenWeb is that it is completely free to start.
Design+ unlocks 100% access to the website editor, unlocking maximum potential. This one time subscription helps us manage payments relating to domain and web server hosting renewal fees, while providing you with infinite customization.

Feel free to contact Matt or myself if you have any questions or comments! I’m really looking forward to everyone testing this out and providing some feedback
Hello, i just tried using the editor and published my first website and i wanna say that the final result looks really good honestly. However i think the editor lacks some customization. It would be nice having a bit more control on stuff like pages, or being able to code some aspects of our websites ect… Still looks really promising and stunning, great job!
Thank you for the feedback, appreciate it a ton. We’re definitely planning to expand the customization of the website and even add custom code options to the website. Adding more pages has been on my to-do list for a while now, so hoping to implement a few changes and update this post later in the year.
Love the concept, but what benefit does Roblox have from your POV? Isn’t it easier to build a website editor as a web app? Roblox GUI capabilities are inferior to what you can achieve with website rendering.
Hi. Why? I don’t see a use case for buying domains and creating websites in a Roblox game. However, I can agree that this is the best website builder in Roblox, because it is the only one that exists.
Not gonna lie, when I saw “Create a real website right from a Roblox game” I thought we’ll be able to make actual sites using actual UI elements from Roblox, eg. frames, imagelabels, etc. If all it allows us to do is ‘make sections’ it’s not much better than any other no-code website editor that doesn’t require us joining a game to do so.
Don’t get me wrong - if all it does is show a proof of concept - sure, it works - but it could have a much better execution than simple sections.
“That just implies that you’ve made it harder for people to design websites”
I don’t think you read the banner properly? It implies it is easier to design a website. You literally just join the game and start—no sign up or premilitary activities.
If your message actually was meant to say that it isn’t that easy to build a website using OpenWeb, let me know what part of my message was contradictory. Any user can deploy their first website in under a minute if they wish.
I did read the banner, and it’s the same as if you were to say “My dog hasn’t gotten any better” it’s how you’d say something had no improvement or is not improving. You’d be better off saying “Designing a website has never been easier”. That implies it is easier to build a website using your platform.
Maybe allow us to integrate it more with our own game, as it would be really cool if we could, for example, have live visits counting and stuff.
Its also really laggy, but I like the concept!
Not sure if you read my post correctly. Its… free. You don’t pay for your first sub-domain. The reason is because of it’s accessibility and ease of use. To quickly hop on a Roblox game and not have to sign up or enter any credentials makes the process quite quick. It’s meant to serve as a simple site to store and post some information for your group, that’s why,
If you read a little more into my post instead of just skimming it you’d realize that was the entire point of this post
