If this issue is addressed, it would improve my development experience, because my large and lot-of-parts maps would not lag (low FPS) because of GPU strain.
Current documentation says: “Note that the engine is allowed to retain previously loaded content beyond the target radius, memory permitting”. That’s kind of smart and also not. Because it’s not just about the memory. Big maps tend also to strain the GPU.
So it would be nice to have an option, to Uncheck this “retain” feature. And all parts beyond radius would be removed instantly.
