Part position changing for some reason?

Hiya! I’m having an issue with the positions of some parts in a model. When in studio, they are positioned properly, but when I run/play the game, they are slightly moved.

More info:

  • There are no children of the parts; no welds, snaps, or scripts that change the position.
  • In run mode, the position of the part listed in the properties tab is the same as it was previously.
  • I’m using surface properties, (studs, inlets, etc.)

While editing: No gap between the top part and the base.

While playing: Small gap between the top part and the base, (pretty difficult to see)

Does anyone know what could be making this happen? Thanks!

Are these baseparts or meshes or unions?

I assume they are all anchored?

Oops, yeah, all regular parts and all anchored.

Can you elaborate here:

Isnt there a setting to have no outlines if i remember correctly?

Edit: you said its position is the same in run mode, is the position of the underlying part the same too?

There is no setting for that, above is a screenshot of the menu.

And yes, I checked the positions of all parts nearby and they are the same for some reason…

Have you tried to just test by changing to a different surface property?

Yes, I set all of them to the smooth property which is the normal property for all parts, and then tried moving all parts away and back into the model. Still the same.

Ok try this solution posted here by setting your parts position manually instead of dragging it there:

And also adjusting your studs near the tools bar.

Seems like it worked, I think this probably happened because I used a very small movement size, and Roblox Studio didn’t show the value because of how small it was, (Example: 2.14782 would be simplified to 2.147, but it would still be positioned at 2.14782).

Thanks!
