Hi! so almost a month ago I made This Post in order to get some monetisation advice for a game, and thanks to your input we managed to raise revenue from about 0.5 robux per visit, to 1.2 Robux per visit.
However now we have started noticing our players are getting a little less engaged, with play time averaging about 7-9 mins on a daily basis and we really could utilise some advice to make the game more enjoyable for everyone, especially as we have had players spot some cool youtbers in the game yesterday and the day before!
If you want to test out the game you can play it here
All advice is appreciated, however if you have experience running a game with good play times and retention your input would be amazing!
This does work, however constant updates is never really a foolproof strategy to maintain play times as updates actually take time and effort to produce.
We were more looking for features which would enhance user experience specifically.
Constant updates is one of the best ways to increase player retention. Look at games like Jailbreak. It gets updates and bug fixes every month, and its been on the front page for ages.
On top of that, simulators that don’t update usually die out super fast. I’ve seen it with practically every relevant front page simulator. The Devs take a break, suddenly the game dies and they are reduced to low amounts of players.
I’d say updates is one of the most full proof and efficient strategy to increase player retention.
Please do not say ‘updates’ that is completely unhelpful and blatantly obvious, if you are going to say ‘updates’ suggest what updates could retain players for a long period of time.
