Playtesting in Studio while simulating Xbox One always starts the playtest with the PlayerList open

Reproduction Steps

  1. Open Roblox Studio
  2. Open a blank baseplate
  3. Go to the “TEST” tab, select “Device”, then “Xbox One”
  4. Press “Play”
  5. Observe the session starts with the PlayerList open

Expected Behavior
On pressing play, the session should start with the PlayerList closed.

Actual Behavior
On pressing play, the session starts with the PlayerList open. This blocks the screen.

If this is somehow intentional, let me know and I’ll make a feature request. This behavior is undesired, unintuitive, and unexpected. I can’t test on an actual Xbox One, but this does not occur when using a controller in-game FWIW.

It’s also weird that there’s two of me on the PlayerList, but I am unsure if that’s related to this bug.

The bug still comes back, it’s very annoying. I hope you fix this as soon as possible.

I’m going to revive this because it still isn’t fixed.

This is still an issue as of January 2023.

This is still an issue. I made a separate bug report about gamepads not functioning in Studio and also provided an additional error that occurs related to this issue, here: Gamepads do not work in Studio playtests + Xbox emulation leaves glitched UI on screen
