This is an insanely annoying likely-intended feature that causes any music to stop when Roblox opens on iOS. It can be bypassed very easy (any form of music controls) but I think everybody would like it gone as it does way more bad than good.
Roblox is the only app that does this and it makes absolutely no sense. Totally agree.
Could be related to voice-chat.
I don’t think so as this happens when you open the app and the mic indicator is not on.
tacobell also stops my music
It should respect silent mode and just not play any audio when enabled.
You know, coming back to this, it might actually be a bug. Are you sure it’s intended? Has any engineer said this anywhere? I might make a bug report for it so it actually gets attention. @pyxfluff
It could be but I’m guessing it’s intentional considering the fact it happens again when you join and the game audio doesn’t play if you have music playing. Sounds like it was just a hacky fix to prevent people from unexpectedly reporting game audio failing if they have system audio playing
I Totally agree with this. If anything it makes the Platform more annoying, I enjoy listening to music but im unable too.
Yeah, this is real disruptive. It stops music, audio recordings, etc., as soon as the app is opened. We need a staff member to view this post to tell us if it’s intended or not. If it’s a bug, they can work on a fix. If it’s intended, then a Regular can make it’s removal a feature request.
That’s what this is, I want the “feature” removed because it’s annoying.
Haha—I misread the category, I thought it was in bug reports.
I’ll double-check the category of a post before replying next time.
Unsure if this is related but I’ve denied access to Roblox using my microphone on my Android device (as I don’t wish to use voice-chat on my phone) and yet still get kicked out of Discord calls when opening the Roblox app. This wasn’t an issue before voice chat was implemented into the app afaik and this appears to happen at the same points of time mentioned in this post (app open and game start)
