but did roblox listen to having moderators review a game publish before opening it? like 9999 condos get out unchecked cuz no one checks how the publish comes out like
also did roblox listen to fixing searching up barely known-used words like “kneepad” in the studio marketplace and going to meshes or models and then seeing it giving out rr34 content with no restriction?
AND has roblox ever attempted to fixing user search in group members?
Imagine how many roblox game are released at a single hour, for moderators its a huge amount of work. As i said earlier its not roblox problem its a community issue, roblox tryed listening and improving but the community stand far behind the improvements.
Throwback to the time somebody said this and proceeded to nonchalantly ratio the staff member that posted it. This probably applies somewhat here.
Doesn’t this scale based on the amount of detections before the banwave? You can correct me if I’m wrong but I remember bitdancer saying something like that somewhere. But either way I see your point, the system for exploit punishment seems quite flawed.
cant wait until roblox introduces “robux pricing ai”
next thing you know vip gamepasses cost 999 minimum (whats funny is that there is but its not forced) and roblox catalog accessories cost the same amount as bezos networth
I love the teams valiant effort to hold back exploiting and create better utility to dissuade and get rid of it. The less exploiters we have on the platform, the less people we have getting interested in computer science when they give an infinite gems script a slight look, and less competition for me when they pursue it as a career. HOORAY!
No, it does not scale. If you exploit for 90 days straight before a ban wave, you will still only get banned for what your previous punishment was. Anti-cheat team wants to jump to immediate termination but the current policy prevents them from doing so. The exploit ban policy is not actually written by the Byfron team. The Byfron team is not allowed to enact the security measures they want. Engineers have expressed their frustration with this policy as it makes the anti-cheat look weak and negatively impacts game security all to prop up CCU metrics.
This has been going on for over a year now with no signs of improvement, which is why exploiters have been returning and now they know all the limits of the policy and how to avoid punishment. Until these bot-protecting policies are changed things will continue to get worse.
From the way it sounds, no Macros wont be allowed, as its auto mated movement (meaning moving your character e.t.c, doing more than just clicking your mouse really quickly.)
Also I’m pretty sure roblox has NEVER allowed Macros to begin with in the first place, just auto clickers. (I might be wrong, but I remember this being the case.)
Overall, its just client based… so we get to wait and see the true full extent of what they say no to.
I hate artificial intelligence era and the automation of bans, but cool, hopefully this stops auto-farming in large games like MM2 where leaderboards are reliant on auto-farming and methods that give an advantage for other players. Same time I bet this is gonna cause a lot of false-bans like how voice chat ai moderation history has been.
I think instead of letting players freeby upload ugcs they should be reviewed before beiing released to the catalog, this way it will let roblox moderators reduce the amount of fake limiteds running around the catalog and oversized accesorys.
I’ve had alt detection work at least a handful of times in my game and the ban API is really useful in my opinion, loads cleaner than datastores. Haven’t seen a whole lot of botting as far as I can tell but I do see a lot of exploiters.
They just mean exploits, not bootstrappers like BloxStrap since it does not modify the game client. Bitdancer has already said that Bloxstrap will likely never be on the blacklist ever.
good updates but being trusted in the community i think you need to be regular bare minimum and i can definently tell that the new account expliots work because i got hacked and banned.
Right, but are you actually going to do something about botting? You guys seem keen in tricking investors with outright false and inflated player metrics. How can we be sure that the bot issue will be resolved any time soon when its pretty clear that the issue offers the company good looks and even monetary value from simply leaving the issue as is?
So far most front page games have an insane amount of bots active. Some games on the front page appear ENTIRELY botted.
