Hello everyone, so i just made my first animal yesterday, and got some positive feedback that really cheered me up and made me super excited to work even harder and put a lot of time into my next animal models.
So here i am, after 4 hours, i made this little fox. I would like to get some feedback on this animal aswell and a rate out of 10 !
Keep in mind, this is 2nd animal that i have made so far. Thanks
For the fact that is the first ever animal mesh you have made it looks incredible!
I’ll give it a 10 for the fact it’s your first ever attempt.
Great job, keep going!
I think this looks quite good, although the tail seems a bit short for a Fox.
This is actually the second one, if you wanna check out the first one that i made, go check out my profile , and thanks for the feedback, it means a lot
Thanks for the feedback, i’ll make the tail a bit longer
Nice work! This is very impressive for your second animal model ever. I particularly like the foxes snout and ears. I think you’ve managed to replicate the face quite well.
Suggestions
If I were to offer any suggestions, I’d suggest making the hind paws look more like the front paws. At the moment, the hind paws are very flat at the bottom and don’t look quite as realistic as the paws at the front. Matching these should help keep the model consistent too!
I agree with @Herschie that the tail also needs to be little bit longer. Foxes generally have long, bushy tails. Replicating this iconic characteristic would help make the model more recognisable.
Conclusion
Suggestions aside, I think you’re doing a great job with these models, especially for someone who’s only starting out. I think you have the potential to create a whole forest full of animals! I hope this feedback helps you to develop your 3D modelling skills further.
Your “Low Poly Fox” looks very amazing, i like how you added the shape, layout, design, to the little fox as well the details. That’s implemented to your fox is really decent! However there is a couple of things. I’ll add to your low poly, fox so it could look. More detailed and improved a lot more overall. You have done a impressive job on your, 2nd low poly animal and i think it looks really amazing! Anyways i would try making the back legs, look like the front legs as they seem to be. A little more wider, bigger, then the front legs you could! Try fixing that up so it could look more, like the front legs overall nicely done. Of your other creation of a animal!!
Low Poly fox
Know i think your low poly fox is very well done, i like all the details that’s implemented to your little fox the shape, layout, is really nice. However there seems to be no other body parts! Connected onto your little fox, i would recommend you add some nose, whiskers, fur, paws, ect. As those details are most needed! Onto foxes i would try doing something like, that so it could look more better however i know. You added the nose and ears i would try sizing, the tall out more as it seems to be a little to small! I would recommend you make it a bit more bigger, and fatter, so it could look more detailed and more! Improved overall i know your gonna add the details that’s, on most fox i would also try making the paws, look more rounded and detailed as i said above. The back paws are a different shape then! The front ones you could try fixing. That or make the front paws more circle like as! That’s! Mostly on little foxes however are you making a adult fox, female fox, baby fox, ect. Because most foxes the tail is more bigger, and fatter that’s because it has long hair. Connected to the tail to make the fox feel warm and, protected however if you plan on, adding hair to the fox. That will make your creation stand out a lot more! Overall nicely done on your 2nd animal, you are really improving! Your models great job.
Whiskers/Fur
And as i said above i would recommend you add some fur, paws, whiskers, longer tail, ect. Implemented to your fox just to. Give it some details to it overall i believe! Your going to add those details once you finish the shape, layout, details, ect. To your little fox however i would suggest you fix the back legs so they. Could more detailed as well the ears i would, try leaving a opening in front of ears that’s! Implemented to your fox so the fox would hear, things that’s coming to, him only if you plan on doing i would go far it as! It would really improve your creations on your next. Animal you make very soon and as you can see, below try making the tail more longer and back! Paws more like the front ones just so your, little fox could look more detailed and improved. A lot more however it looks really good so! Far i would just add the final parts to, your animal so it could stand. Out a lot more!!
Reference Body Parts
Details
So you are really improving your, (Animals) a lot more and i see you are trying to. Become more better at making animals, however it just needs the details that’s! On a lot of real life foxes, you could always add couple. Of details to the animal, so it could look more better, as i said above you could add some whiskers, longer tail, paws, fur, ect. With those parts implemented to your animal i know it. Would look a lot more amazing and decent overall, keep on working on different kinds of animals, i know with the details. You have so far added to your creation it! Would look more better with other parts connected, onto your little fox! Overall you have done a impressive job, on your 2nd animal so far and i can’t. Wait to see more of this!!
Know i gotta say you are doing a very impressive, job on your “Animals" as well the details i listed above. I know those would make your animals stand out, more as well look more better, however i know your currently working on adding! The parts to the little fox and other details to you\r creation. Overall i know you are trying to make all different kinds of animals as well! With the details i listed, above it will really, help you improve your! (Other animals) in the future. However great job and i can’t wait to. See other animals you have planning on making very soon, keep on adding more. Body parts, details, and other’s to! Your animals anyways nicely done on your 2nd animal. I think you have done a amazing overall, great job!
Thank you so much for this feedback, it’s by far one of the bests that i’ve ever got.
It truly means a lot when people are amazed by my work and give me suggestions to make the overall looking and quality of my work even better.
I’m so excited now to work even more, i’m gonna start by applying those suggestions in this model, and start working on another one.
Thanks once again
Thank you so much for this really impressive feedback, the reference that you stated above would help me for sure in improving my fox, i would also make sure to apply those suggestions in my future animals. Thank you once again for all the suggestions, it really means a lot
I’d rate this out of 10 especially since this is your first attempt I love it!
This is my second attempt in making an animal, but my first attempt in making a fox.
Thank you so much, this really cheers me up
It’s great, there aren’t big mistakes, 9/10.
Thanks for the rate, i appreciate it
It’s a solid 9 as I don’t believe anything can be a perfect 10. Love the model and I do recommend learning to texture and make it come alive more.
Thanks, this really means a lot.
And yes, i’m planning to start learning texturing really soon
I think that your Fox is amazing! The design choice I think is outstanding! The only thing I would change is the tail, maybe try and make it a bit longer and shape the end of it a bit like a Fox’s. But, I think this Fox is great. (:
Looks really good to me, but I think you should make the tail a bit longer
Thanks for the feedback
There are four things I take notice of the model:
- Nose
- Legs
- Tail
- Ears
All of these are underdetailed or rushed and the entire body is giving me a boxy look. However, it does depict a fox, despite the polygon count was not sufficient.
Apparently, most of the other points I wanted to make were found in previous replies. I’d be interested in one update of it whenever possible.
Thanks for the feedback
