As the title suggests, the RB Battles Soda Cup accessory is a rare item that is misaligned in a peculiar way that causes its strap to leave an awkward amount of dead space in multiple places around the avatar, namely the left shoulder, right hip, and around the back, which has been a point of contention for owners of this item such as myself. See attached screenshots demonstrating this:
It looks slightly better when worn in R6, but the issue is still prevalent around the waist and back:
Expected behavior
I should expect the strap which holds the tasty soda around my body to appear as though it’s actually wrapped around my body - not just floating in mid-air. The following screenshots demonstrate a rough idea of what I would expect to happen; this example is not perfect as I essentially “fixed” the issue simply by reducing the size of the item, which still leaves a bit of awkward dead space in the affected areas, but generally looks a lot better and somewhat gets my point across.
It is important to note that users do not currently have the ability to readjust Front Accessories on their avatar.
For reference, this is what the RB Battles Popcorn Bucket looks like without any adjustments whatsoever, this is also a rough idea of how I would expect the Soda Cup item to wrap around the avatar. Thank you
Even if this is in fact intentional, it’s an odd design choice given that the Soda’s predecessor is made to physically wrap around blocky avatars, which in itself is most commonly used for outfits in general.
Furthermore, I have personally tested multiple different torsos I own and can not seem to find an example where it being this loose and awkward is fully justifiable:
Probably not. If you want something like a backpack to be compatible with many body types, you’d either make it a layered clothing accessory or leave out the straps entirely.
My report about this item (which yes to be fair is roughly 2 years old) predates this message by over a month, as does @Howimetted’s reply indicating that its issue is being looked into.
I am not talking about when you made the report, rather than the item’s release… Also, @Howimetted’s reply doesn’t mean that the issue is being looked at; it is just another response indicating that your bug report was added to their internal backlog. The replies from Focia19, thirdtakeonit, and Howimetted are all about adding your report to their internal database. They don’t review the progress of the report, as in how it is being handled behind the scenes.
I only pointed out the age of my report because at the time I made it the message you cited didn’t exist and thus there was no reason to do so.
I don’t care which engineer does what or how or whatever, if one guy replies saying an update will be followed up on that implies another guy may or may not review and/or fix it which as indicated by it being in their internal database regardless of who put it there is likely the case.
My replies were needed because you should be aware about these aspects before making any conclusions that are not entirely accurate… I am not trying to be mean, but only trying to explain this in case you plan to make bug reports in the future.
Respectfully, I hope you can understand my point! Have a good day!
