Hello! I was just wondering if the keynote would be livestreamed on YouTube like what was done previously with RDC2022 to allow anyone and everyone to view the keynote, even if they havenā€™t been explicitly invited to RDC2023. While Roblox Developers Conference is mainly for Developers, the keynote contains a lot of interesting information regarding the state of the platform and the future of the platform that not only affects developers, but the community as a whole.

Didnā€™t find anything in the FAQ that said anything about this, so I thought Iā€™d ask here.

I wonder, what is the process they use to decide who gets invites? Personally, I think itā€™d be great if they invited people who arenā€™t developers specifically, like management/artists/music designers/etc. Feels kind of lame that because people canā€™t write code, or are in the top 0.1% of Robloxā€™s payroll, or have a million+ subscribers, they get screwed over. Also a missed opportunity in my eyes to invite novice developers to see what itā€™s actually like to be a dev, as just having people who already are on the front page and make pallets of money in a room over and over again seemsā€¦ counterintuitive.

I am not going to join RDC 2023 because I am a smaller creator, and I am also not 18+ however I am excited to see what happens.

Seems I got the invite almost immediately when this thread went up, but I didnā€™t know until now since I check my email and the forum very late in the day these days. Thatā€™s neat! Excited to attend RDC once again and this time use the opportunity to network and learn some more. Once again, I will be attending virtual as I cannot make it in person for any such event.

I would assume itā€™s because - unfortunately - it was abused as a way to get uninvited and banned people into the convention.

This is just an assumption of course based off what Iā€™ve seen happen previously.

Iā€™ll never go to one :(. Ever since a child Iā€™ve always wanted to go. Even the Roblox con they use to do before they scrapped it.
