Hoping to be invited this year!
Been on the platform for more than 6 years, making a career out of it. Would absolutely LOVE to meet other developers in person whom I have met digitally over the years!
Would love to attend RDC 2023 in person.

Hi Developers,
We wanted to provide a quick update on our programming for RDC this year. After receiving overwhelming feedback, we have decided to launch our booths a day early and open more room for networking and feedback. This change results in double the time for Roblox booths, featuring experts from our Product and Engineering teams, and networking. We hope you’re looking forward to this increase in face time!
As part of shifting resources this year, we will not be including the Game Jam as part of our event programming. We understand this may come as a surprise to some, and we empathize - Game Jam has always been a much-loved part of the conference.
We still see endless opportunities for Game Jams and want to acknowledge the fantastic events many of you are organizing independently. We hope to see more of your work and events through programs like the Connect Challenge or the revamped Creator Events platform. These provide amazing opportunities to create, connect and even compete!
We can’t wait to see you in September!

Any chance of moving the jam to a virtual event two weeks earlier? The last virtual gamejam worked just fine…

This would be a good compromise in my eyes - keeping the game jam but just externalising it more completely.

Sad to see no Game-Jam this year, but at least we can look forward for next year’s Game-Jam!

We hear you and appreciate your feedback. RDC is a huge event that requires a major lift within the company. With all the great events and programming we want to prepare for the show we just do not have the capacity to host an event as complex as the Game Jam outside of RDC this year.

Is RDC still handing out invites? If so I hope to get one this year since I’ve made a game blow up and it be the best thing to happen to me this year if I get one.
Wave 2 just started some of my friends got invites a few minutes ago.
Didn’t get my invite yet so I guess I’ll just not buy a plane ticket the prices are going to go insanely high…
