Hello, yesterday I received the regional pricing in my country (Argentina). I decided to purchase the 1000 Robux Premium, and immediately after that, the regional prices disappeared — the original (global) prices were restored. I’ve already sent emails to support but haven’t received a response yet. Is this some kind of bug? Greetings.
Hey - following up on this! Like what Esti said, I checked my main account (which is this one) to see if I had it, and I didn’t, however I checked another account of mine and it had it. What’s the cause?
the update probably hasn’t dropped for everyone, I also am still waiting!
The issue is that I had regional prices, and now they’re gone for no reason whatsoever
So rather than the platform subsidizing the lowered price with the 70% tax taken out of every transaction, we’re meant to eat the costs?
Lowered items being subsidized by the creators, + experiences making 10% more from sales… great combination.
That’s interesting, I sadly never got them to try out the feature. Been very excited for it since Robux is very expensive in my country.
I still don’t have regional prices on this account. I have them on all my other accounts. The region is the same.
I think it’s based on something called “Economic Location” which doesn’t correspond to “Account Location” and is determined by account activities like billing history (this is what I was told).
Unfortunately, I am also having the same issues.
Actually, found it on the Regional Pricing doc on create.roblox.com just now:
Regional Pricing | Documentation - Roblox Creator Hub
I don’t quite understand why this affects third-world countries, and if that’s the case, how is someone supposed to take advantage of regional pricing for something like the Korblox package if as soon as they buy Robux, the prices disappear? Isn’t this… strange?
If this is the case, their system is broken, I only paid for Robux with my region’s currency. The price of Robux has increased by about 1.43 times over the past few years in my location. Disappointing.
Wow that actually doesn’t make sense. Roblox is banned in my country so I’m pretty much forced to pay with USD to buy Robux.
same here, I used to have regional pricing on my main, then I played for a bit on my alt and when I came back to my main, my regional pricing was gone, but then my alt got it instead, very weird.
Having some issues with this up until now. I actually had it 2 weeks ago for one day, then lost it the day after for some reason. My alts have it while my main (this account) doesn’t which is pretty strange. I hope I and other users will be able to make use of this feature soon as I’m sure this is a very highly anticipated addition to the platform.
Still don’t have this - quite disappointing
It’s now well into July, and despite Roblox’s statement that regional pricing would reach 100% of users by the end of June, many users including myself still do not have access to this feature.
I previously contacted Roblox Support and was told that regional pricing is determined based on signals like VPN usage, billing history, and account history. If this means that users who frequently buy Robux or have a long purchase history are excluded from regional pricing, that’s deeply unfair.
Regional pricing should be based only on where a user currently lives, not how much they’ve spent in the past. It’s extremely frustrating that some users in the same country have the feature while others do not, simply because they’ve supported the platform more financially. That punishes loyal users and creates a two-tier system based on spending, not location.
Please finish the rollout immediately as promised and ensure all users in eligible regions receive the update equally. Stop using purchasing behavior to restrict access. This situation feels really unfair and inconsistent.
THISS. It’s been well over a month since this feature was announced and it’s honestly disappointing that it’s still not available for some users.
Support hasn’t been helpful either. Like what you said, they just keep repeating the same automated lookin statements, saying that my prices are based on my “economic location” because of my billing history, which is really frustrating.
Basing prices off a user’s billing history isn’t the way to go. Just because someone has spent 50 to a hundred bucks on Robux doesn’t mean they always have the financial ability to keep doing so, especially in countries where wages are low and is facing an economic instability.
On top of that, how can anyone even take advantage of regional pricing if buying a certain amount Robux ends up removing that option completely? It defeats the whole point.
“wElL iF yOu cAnT aFfOrD iT jUsT dOnT bUy?”
Well, no, I’m sure everyone would love to be able to save, even just a tiny bit of money, especially in this economy.
Moving on, what I’m also seeing here is that users who’ve had regional pricing since release are usually the ones who can’t even afford to buy large sums of Robux anyway. Meanwhile, the ones who actually have the spending power and could benefit from the discounts on items like the Violet Valkyrie, which costs 50,000 Robux, get locked into global pricing just because they’ve made a few purchases before due to the fact that the system assumes that they just don’t need that discount anymore.
But just because someone could afford it before doesn’t mean they can keep doing it now. Some countries even tax digital purchases up to 50 percent. In cases like that, everyone in the same country should still be eligible for regional pricing, regardless of how much they’ve spent in the past as they’re all dealing with the same economy.
Using old purchase history to take away regional pricing doesn’t make sense. The economy changes, prices go up, and people’s ability to spend changes too. Just because someone used to spend a lot years ago doesn’t mean they still can now. It’s unfair and ends up punishing those who supported the platform while giving discounts to people who can’t even use them. I don’t know, but I’d love to hear other’s thoughts on this too.
I completely agree with you. I’ve purchased Robux across all four of my accounts using the same card, same email, and everything else identical. Yet, only one of them received regional pricing while the others didn’t, despite no difference in how they were set up or used.
When I contacted support, they just replied with “it depends on economic location” and never followed up. I even provided my ID and other necessary details, but they still didn’t help or allow me to update anything. I also pointed this out in my own post, which you can find here: Regional Pricing Issue
The profit loss from regional pricing should really come from Roblox’s side, not ours. As creators, we’re already giving up 70% of every UGC sale sold in Experiences — and that’s a huge cut, especially when we’re trying to keep prices low and accessible for users. Now with regional pricing, that gap gets even worse. That makes it really hard to justify the time and effort that goes into making UGC.
If the goal is to help creators earn more, then this system feels like it’s doing the opposite for us. Lower prices might boost purchases for users, but they also reduce our already small share. That part just doesn’t feel fair.
So I tried contacting Roblox about this since I’m having similar problems and they replied with this and I don’t even know how to get this account regional pricing unlock its been months.
"When a user purchases from an experience that has enabled Regional Pricing, Roblox automatically adjusts the price of that pass for users based on their economic location.
Economic location is not always the same as account location. To determine a user’s economic location, Roblox looks at signals, including VPN usage, billing history, and account history. If your economic location can’t be determined, users see the default global price for the pass instead."
