Well, A simple idea is to create a model with the destruction AKA just like in TSB, the rocks lift up off the ground, just like that. Now write a script that whenever the action happens, copy and paste that model a lil below, then tween up the model, the rocks that are near the center, the first. Make sure to change color and material according to the destroying object.
try getting things from soulshatters/utpr/kobk (they’re all slightly better clones of eachother) as those were made or based off things that were made before fighting games got stale
