Yippee!! They’re here!! You no longer have to wait
Have a great Friday, everyone!

When is the arbitrary limit (number of editables rather than memory usage) being removed on editables

I’m glad that they are planning to fix this(It was annoying and confusing to always have to save or dismiss even when there were no changes to the script)

Also, I think is is a great improvement(It makes much sense and is way more convenient)
patiently waiting for absolutely anything about AuroraService/server authority
Since yesterday I’m suddenly unable to scroll in the new gen explorer beta. I assume this must be known at this point, but I thought it’d be worth mentioning.
I will make you happy! If you check the Roblox API. You would see a bunch of properties that regard the server authority. Hopefully it’s one of their last steps before releasing it. I highly doubt they would add an option to the workspace to enable/disable server authority if they weren’t on the finishing line.
Not known.
Could you give more detail? (OS, whether things work in other plugins, etc)
Ah, my bad.
Scrolling by the mouse wheel does nothing after expanding some folders to enable the scroll bar. No mouse input is detected by the scroll bar either, so attempting to click/drag the scroll bar does nothing.
Windows 11, other widgets are unaffected. Started happening about 24 hours ago.
Shot in the dark: Does scrolling still work while in the middle of drag-dropping an Instance to reparent it?
That’s actually an entirely different codepath because windows doesn’t support scrolling during a drag-drop out of the box. If that works it would be an interesting data point.
Unfortunately not. I’m able to “scroll” by box selecting and moving my mouse to the top/bottom of the explorer however.
Can you try to see if there’s some dead-zone? Like, clicking on the Expand works, but clicking on the scrollbar does not. Can you try renaming by slow-clicking at various points from left to right and see if there’s some threshold where the clicks stop registering?
This how it looks. As for how to reproduce it, it’s seemingly random, or a precise path must be taken to make it occur, though not a short one. Vague response, I know, but it’s unclear how to actually get it to appear
Just like in the video from the report that @Tavikron linked, attempting to drag the scroll bar triggers box select. Clicking anywhere else functions as intended, including slow-clicking to start renaming an instance.
Please bring color back to the checkboxes. Checkboxes without their blue color makes the Properties widget look more noisy. The checkbox is beveled but it’s container is square, too. I can see the pixels that surround the checkbox when it’s enabled.
I know that the lack of color should seem very small but it gave a great amount of subconscious context for what I was looking for when I could see the blue color against the gray background
I can totally see people getting confused from that
Things such as checkboxes need a color like blue to stand out, especially if they’re tiny
Not only that, but sometimes parents will expand to show children on their own. Sometimes when I want to view children of an instance, it just doesn’t work
Edit: I’ve also had this happen where simply mouse hovering over instances will cause them to show children
Totally unrelated, but can we get a staff member to look at this open bug report? This has been open for almost a month. Animations don't replicate to unstreamed players if played away in Streaming Enabled
I believe that’s a known issue that there’s no easy fix for so don’t expect a quick resolution.
Don’t know what plans there are to address it or not.
I don’t know if this has been reported, or if this is even an issue with any new explorer, however, when I click to rename an object, and it highlights, I am unable to right click and get a copy menu, to copy the name of the object. I have to use the ctrl-c and ctrl-v to copy and paste the text in the name box.
I believe (unless I’m thinking of another game engine) I used to, could just right-mouse and it gave options.
