It just means the amount of memory used.
Though I would say that the wording of improving “memory pressure” rather than just “memory usage” comes with a bit of an implication of having better scaling (twice as much content using less than twice as much memory) in some way rather than just a lower total.

decals already support transparency, i don’t think it needs alphamode, although it loses tintmask
