hands are hard, but rounded no hands are bizarre.

I like your choice of colour. I remember when I used to draw a lot when I was younger but sadly I had lost the energy and I’m really busy nowadays. I think for character art, you should definitely sketch on one layer then do linework on a new layer. It will really make a difference!
