Reverting to older place version then back to latest doesn't work

If you have Team Create enabled, you need to disable it, close studio, revert the game, and then open studio back. From here you can enable Team Create again.

The reason for this is the auto-save made by Team Create (from closing studio), overrides the revert.

This issue has occured with a non team create enabled game.

Correct, I wasn’t using team create either.

Experiencing this issue also, team create isn’t enabled either, and it’s a group game.

Can confirm it is an issue, it’s happening with my places too even without TC on

This is most definitely a bug that NEEDS to be addressed as soon as possible. I’m currently having the same issue and no matter what I do, I can’t seem to get that workaround to work either.

This bug is still happening and is having a significant impact on my development work. The workaround does indeed work, however I had only just discovered this thead and so had lost a major amount of time where I could have been making stuff.

Well it works for me it just takes a while i would revert to a version then wait 30min stay out of studio tho!

Thanks @helperobc for the report & a very big thanks for the workaround. Thought I had lost a lot of work.
Unlike the others I was using team create, in a group game. This needs to be fixed.

Here it is November and the bug still ever present. Thanks for this info, it helped me revert a place to get models and placement from its older version, and then bring them into the last published version.

I did have to publish after the revert just so I could go back to the last published version.

I hope Roblox fixes it soon. It’s December, and if it’s not fixed I may have to cancel a project that I have put a lot of effort into (I don’t own the game, so I can’t do anything related to team create) because of a studio camera issue preventing me from building.

Have you tried reverting to an older version of the game from Studio? You can access it in the game settings window under the ribbon bar.

I tried that, unfortunately when I tried to open a previous version through that, and it just crashed. I’m lucky, I have a place recovery file of it, so I can copy non broken stuff to the recovery version.

im so so sorry this happened to you :frowning: i use BTRoblox Chrome plugin so i can avoid this issue, which allows you to download an old version of a place without having to revert back to it. it gives a handy dandy button that says “Download” that has saved me so many times.

Bug still happens to this day when I reverted because I was recovering a script I accidently overriden then
I switched to the newer version to input the script. It didn’t work and it is still stuck. I also tried downloading the old version and it crashed
Edit: After a few tries it went to the latest version
(sorry for necroposting)

Bug is still happening, wonderful engine support provided by Roblox and completely demotivates me to report any of the numerous bugs when this 3 year old bug still persists.

Is this problem still happening ? I am unable to reproduce the issue in creator dashboard.
