Road2Dev Colony:"Cabin, Map selection system, hitbox)

Ah yes! Another Road2Dev. Last time I discussed about the new models for the game here’s that link. So far the game is going pretty well and great. But sadly we are not launching the demo. We are launching the Main Game instead. Overall progress was slow… It’s because of online classes that I have to attend to, but I’ve managed to do this in my free time.

I’ve made a similar map choosing system from planet base where when you select the mountainous areas you get more resources but less space. I won’t go into detail but eh.

For those people who are wondering how the selection system works, I did this. (take note I still haven’t finished it yet)

Made a separate “Hitbox mesh” from the original map.

Then when the mouse hovers over it the mouse will check if its a mountain, plains, or artic biome. Ik, ik there might be an easier way. But I just wanted to experiment with stuff.

I want to hear feedback from the cabin (the place where the map would be chosen) or the one being shown rn. Take note this is in blender. Not yet on Studio.
