Unlike TheDevKing’s video, this engine is completely flat 2D, meaning there’s no visible 3D shapes. TheDevKing positioned the camera to be facing the side of your character and designed the levels to be linear, i.e. moving in one axis only (that being either X or Z). If you compare these two things, you can clearly see that the video had 3D shapes from a flat perspective, but this 2D operates with things like sprites, which are real flat 2D objects. As some have already said, the 2D engine replicates games from the 90s and 80s, which obviously didn’t have graphics like roblox has today.

WOW. I’ve never seen 2D games with sprites before on ROBLOX. I’m going to be needing this. Been wanting to make a 2D Metroid game and this is gonna be helpful!
