Let’s please be professional and not have an argument. This area is not for arguing on an “alleged” fraud. If you would like to continue discussing this please do PM.

Roblox doesn’t show their source code, does that mean I should be scared of what Roblox is doing behind the scenes.

I am being professional, and this is not an argument, please do not say it is such. I am asking and discussing about the availability of the source code. I should also stress that I never said anything about fraud in the first place (apart from “how is fraud in the system detected” at a earlier point).

Okay sorry. That wasn’t really meant to be directed on you, I just didn’t know where to put it. But others are certainly turning it into one.

How does this even relate to the problem of privacy? Moderation does help with security of the platform, but would you seriously need your own employees to check this rather than just completely restricting this so it wouldn’t be a problem at all?

How can you also fix a small number of moderation employees compared to a large number of community members inside a platform? The safety and security of the platform also lies down on the rules not just moderators, without proper imposition of the rules, while moderators just give out the penalty and kick out the bad actors, I believe completely outing the problems makes it more secure rather than allowing it, and making it go through moderation.

I believe you should seriously stop justifying this to go happiness over the security of the platform.

But the server files are not stored there.

Why does every thread turn into a chat room like drama discussion :skull:

All this does is make sure developers are the ones adding content to the game and not through a third party. There is nothing to argue about…

Exactly! Can we please just stop arguing! Like I said, just PM if you want to yell at people lol

All the CoreScripts (what goes into the Roblox games) are stored there. We are asking the same of Bloxbiz - to show what we will put in our games. We don’t want the server code for BloxBiz’s site.

When there should no argument about this, some people see it ruined their benefit over the security of the platform, and it’s quite upsetting to see especially for some developers.

As @R0bl0x10501050 stated before, we are asking to see the source code of what is put in the games directly, not for their external server code, or anything like that. We are just asking for the ability to easily read the original source code of what goes in our games and nothing more.

Remember what I was talking about is advertising platforms that have proof don’t hold personal info, the issue I was talking about is brands bypassing moderation to advertise their platform on Roblox.

That’s like not having Roblox installed and wanting to inspect the game files to check it’s safe.

It can be naturally assumed that the Roblox Client and Studio is safe to download because Roblox is a reputable company when it comes to things like that. The difference here is that we want to be able to audit something that may go into our games which may provide our monetary income. Please do not compare the two, they are on way different scales.

I was saying that if you get accepted you’ll receive the code to review if you don’t then the source code means nothing to you. To simplify this, his source code means nothing to the general public so there is no use giving it to the general public.

Again to just make it easier why not just completely restrict this? Considering the moderation team is only a small number of people to a large number of community members, do you think it would be easy to moderate everything? If you have an idea that relates to bots moderating around the platform to help with the human moderators, I believe this is much more worst, considering bots are not people, and will possibly have flaws.

The general public should be able to READ the source code so they can make an informed decision about the authenticity of the service being provided by BloxBiz in the first place without having to jump through hoops. And if the source code is trustworthy, then BloxBiz loses nothing and gains a better image in the end.

Because between you and me, I would take the word of uninvolved parties of the public over the words of select members of a private program you have to get accepted into.

So how will these new rules affect games that have 3rd party advertising or anything that now does not fit into the rules? How will this be enforced?

To enter the program, I must disclose my full name and much more info to BloxBiz. Do you think I want to do that just to see the source code?

Yes, it does. The general public who will see this is devforum members, who are asking to see the source.

“third party” is a broad term. It could be service or content.

If third party means that Blox Biz ad images bypass Roblox image moderation, then I agree with Roblox’s side.
.
If third party means that Blox Biz ad images go through Roblox image moderation and it means referring to a service hosted by someone else that keeps in mind of the safety of Roblox platform, then it’s a bad update.
