It’s time to team up and show off your skills in the Roblox Developer Challenge 2025!

:point_right: For this challenge, you and your team must submit a playable Roblox experience based on a theme, that will be announced in this topic when the challenge starts.

  • :racing_car: Start your engines: The challenge starts 2025-02-07T23:00:00Z.
  • :checkered_flag: Cross the finish line: The challenge ends 2025-02-10T23:00:00Z.

  • The experience must be created within the challenge timeframe and follow the theme. Experiences created before or after the timeframe will be considered invalid.
  • You’re allowed to use pre-developed resources as long as you own the rights to them and list them in the submission survey.
  • Teams must consist of 1-5 people. You can use this DevForum thread or our Discord server to find teammates!
  • All participants must adhere to the Terms of Use, Community Standards, and Terms of Participation.

  • Everyone who submits a valid entry gets the DevRel Virtual Prizes Series!
  • An anonymous panel of judges will select a winning team for each category. Every member of the winning teams will receive a USD 1,500 GoGift Global Gift Card.
    • Most Engaging Experience - Engaging gameplay and content from a player’s perspective.
    • Most Creative Interpretation of the Theme - Surprise us with a unique and innovative approach to the theme.
    • Best Technical Quality - Overall technical quality of the experience, such as art, functionality, etc.

Do I need a team to participate?

Although we highly recommend joining a team, you’re allowed to participate solo. You can find teammates in this DevForum thread or our Discord server.

Do I need to pre-register?

No, only filling out the submission survey is necessary.

Are pre-made assets allowed?

Yes, you can use pre-made assets and list them in the submission survey.

Do all my team members need to fill out the submission survey?

No, only one team member needs to fill out the submission survey.

Can I re-submit my experience?

Yes, the latest response will be considered, and the older ones will be disregarded.

Can I update the place after the challenge ends?

No, if you accidentally update your place, please contact us through devrelpt@roblox.com.

Can I create the place before the challenge starts?

No, you must create and update the experience only within the challenge timeframe.

Will the winners and participants receive the DevRel Prizes series?

Yes, all valid submissions will be eligible for the DevRel prizes series, both participants and winners.

What can I do?

  • Some 3D modelling
