Roblox Developer Forum Logo Updated

My friend @systemise made this logo concept:

You should take into consideration that the people that disliked the change to the Dominos logo represent most likely, less than 50% of the community that we have today and so the previous atmosphere doesn’t represent the current atmosphere proportionately.

I agree that the generalisation of the fact that people dislike change will amount to some of the negative atmosphere surrounding the recent logo update, although I do think people have quite a few great arguments against the chosen successor and they should have the right to vote on what represents the community best. After all, the developers are what make the devforum and so surely this should be taken into consideration when updating a vital part of the community such as the logo.

Nevertheless, I see your point of view and agree with a lot of what you’ve said. I for one, dislike the new logo, however I do appeal for more logo ideas to be created and for a vote to be given to the deserved community on which logo to operate.

It looks great if it wasn’t for the fact that it implicitly only represents the programming body of the multi-talented developers that help make the devforum what it is today.

I’ve already forgot how the previous one looked but this one gives a more professional feel to it, looks great!

That looks great. The code brackets won’t work because they only represent programmers, but the lattice effect on the logo looks really cool.

I like that we’re just using the Studio logo. We all work in Studio mostly anyways, including graphics designers.

???

How else do you expect them to get the characters they use in those spiffy thumbnails they make?

Roblox Studio is the source for us.

Can’t believe there’s so much upset about a logo change

I’m thankful for the platform and allowing me to do what I enjoy, this change is trivial

All we need now is the icon to appear on the tabs and we’re set

I personally don’t mind the change at all. The new one actually relates to Roblox and what all users know to be related to development (Studio). IMO, It’s good to put the entire creator community under the same well-recognized image.
One thing I’d like to criticize is how late this change has come. It should’ve been done at the time Roblox rebranded.

How good something already is is never an argument to stop providing feedback though.

We only use Studio because we have no choice. Most of us don’t “work” with Studio, we just need to get our stuff and leave >3>

I like how all the logos are sticking with the same theme

minor changes, but still enough of a difference enough to tell what it’s for at a glance.

OHHHH, I get what you mean now, but as maple said, we just get stuff, and leave.

There’s also digital artists, offsite developers, clothing designers, etc. who have also been defined as developers. It seems strange to have us all associated with Studio when there’s a big chunk of us who barely, if at all, use Studio.

If anyone wants it, I just made a partially-dark theme for the site that goes really well with the blue logo:

Thank you so much

img.logo-big {
    content: url("https://i.imgur.com/GuGNAJq.png");
}

img.logo-small {
    content: url("https://i.imgur.com/e1JVQIW.png");
}

#site-logo {
    content: url("https://i.imgur.com/zlEsPZ5.png");
}

This simple CSS will allow you to use whatever icons you want (default is a restore of the old icons) providing you have something like stylebot/stylish installed and you can easily force the favicon link to redirect if you wanted to go that far. All this talk but we know the best logo

Should be completely proportional now! Sorry if I triggered any OCD.
