I had to get DM support but the issue is resolved for the time being for me.
I apparently had some kernel issue? Which meant I had to reset my whole pc in order to get Roblox to run. Not the best solution but a solution is a solution regardless I guess.
I’ve tried doing the safe boot and everything but Roblox still crashes. Most i’ve gotten is barely getting passed the loading screen just to crash immediately. I’ve disabled tons of services to the point of almost breaking my OS.
I’m not sure what more I can do. I’ve done my best to read the crash files and there seems to be real no consistency with it. I’m posting here as last ditch effort to maybe get some help.
hey i tried using roblox-player:1+launchmode:app+channel:zwinplayer64
and it works correctly and i can join any game from the desktop app it launches
but if i join a game from the website or use the desktop app again roblox updates for some random reason and after it updates it starts crashing again till i use it @Bitdancer you should probably look into this or report any activity based on that
im not sure if it has to do anything with this but it kinda does i guess
Edit: i think the reason is that roblox automaticly updates to production channel and for some reason that channel for some people doesn’t work at all and crashes
roblox should organise the fact that it should be in the channel that works or make channels not crash
EDIT : roblox has closed down this version of the app and no longer works
Bit of an embarrassing mistake… but you and @axtrct are trying to open a crash dump as a text file. Computer programs don’t operate in English, nor Chinese, and this is simply an unformatted memory dump for crash recreation and debugging. It was never meant to be legible. Upload the file somewhere or send it to Roblox instead, as they should be able to make something of it.
As for UTF-8 @0Tenth, Notepad does understand it, but UTF-8 is backwards compatible with ASCII anyway so if there was anything in English there it would have been displayed.
Once again, best of luck to @Roblox on getting your game working again.
Yes, I did notice slow asset loading in Studio, but whether it’s worse than normal I couldn’t say. The client/player is the real offender here and should be the focus of attention. The current copy of Studio is 64-bit but I highly doubt it would be anticheat-protected.
Absence of the bug in 64-bit Studio effectively confirms that some crashes are being triggered by conflicts or teething problems with Hyperion.
Was issued an update today, sadly still unable to play Roblox, same issue.
Is there any news? How else can we (players) help? @Bitdancer
For anyone curious, it seems like the program “WinDbg” should be used to open .dmps and .mdmps, but it is pretty technical and likely you won’t be able to gain anything useful from it unless you know your stuff.
Can reproduce, but instead of crashing after 3 seconds it instead just crashes right when Roblox launches. With a crash message, of course. Really annoying, I have to stick to the bug-infested Microsoft Store’s version of Roblox.
This has been happening for a whole week already and no-one at Roblox can’t fix it for some apparent reason… Reinstalling RBLX, restarting my PC don’t work.
The dump files are also gibberish. Tried to make my notepad read the text in UTF-8 - still gibberish.
Hello,
I am also experiencing the same type of issue as the others here for about 2 to 3 days now and its really confusing since i cannot figure what is the problem.
These roblox staffs are gaslighting u frfr. Go and download roblox from microsoft store (because the one from microsoft store is 32bit no byfron). If you dont have microsoft store or you use linux go on and downgrade to ZLIVE channel via bloxstrap on github (watch out tho they may be honeypotting)
They definitely are.
Instead of trying to help with the issue, a Roblox staff member told me my logfile was spam and instead of reading it, he just removes it
