Roblox silently loses connection without notice or rejoin option

Wanted to post an update, even w reduced mss I still see the silent drops, its intermittent and hard to consistently reproduce so idk whats exactly causing it

I tested by joining the same server in the game I linked earlier, it provides server ID and there didnt seem like any repeatable pattern between attempts

Today I rolled out an experimental change which I believe could improve this issue on all platforms except iOS (will enable there soon)

Please let me know if you notice any improvements, or if you are still experiencing the issue.

Thank you all for your patience!

A lot of our players seem to still be experiencing this issue

We have been observing players with connection issues in our game and even tried uploading the default Roblox baseplate to rule out any issues on our end.

We made a thread with a video of what we experienced. It seems these issues could possibly related to what users have been experiencing here.

I was having this issue before you rolled out this update, and can confirm it’s still occuring post-update.

This seems to occur more frequently on games which use more bandwidth. Blackhawk Rescue Mission 5 seems to be the worst offender in my case with disconnects usually happening within 30-60 minutes, although I’ve been disconnected as quickly as 5 minutes into a game.

Other games seem to last up to several hours with no problems - but I am still silently kicked off of these games during extended play sessions. This has been occuring for ~2 weeks now.

Cuckoo Fibre(via leased CityFibre lines)

Got the exact same problem, Bandwidth theory also checks out from what i’ve noticed

It’s still happening every ~30 minutes for me. I often play Jailbreak and get kicked out mid-PvP or robbery, it is super annoying.

I bypassed my own router (OPNsense) and used just the ISP router. That didn’t have any issues joining the problematic game after 10 attempts. I then updated the firmware on my OPNsense router and it seems like the problem went away at least for now. Will keep an eye on it

As of today’s patch I’m experiencing getting disconnected after joining any Roblox game on PC and Mobile for 10-60 seconds, the app then proceeds to freeze and I’m forced to close it. I noticed my client logs print a “zdebugbtidintegrity” channel, not sure if I’m enrolled in a beta client but other users on my network are also having the same disconnection issue after attempting to join a game.

Seems like i cannot play Anime Last Stand because of this issue. (The game uses a lot of traffic to load all the assets, its really big)
I have ping freezing issues for around 3 months now (since i changed my router)

The log has “[FLog::WndProcessCheck] waitForNewPlayerProcess new waiting for mutex result is 0X000102, ERROR Cannot create a file when that file already exists.” spammed all over it and also RakNet errors

After a both fortunate and unfortunate accident a few days earlier I realised something odd, to explain in short I have 2 ISPs, GlobalSat and Telekom MK, I have GlobalSat Ethernet, Telekom MK Ethernet and Mobile Data.
I kept an app running in the background to ping Amazon’s servers in the background as I usually do, due to GlobalSat’s constant silent disconnections I usually try to play on either the ethernet or mobile data of my other ISP, all of a sudden I got the dreaded silent disconnection, reconnected and silent disconnected again.
As soon as the 2nd time happened I immediately looked at the app I use to constantly ping, coincidentally I saw CogentCo routing, major packet loss as well… safe to say I got pissed, suddenly I had all the symptoms just like on GlobalSat. I just gave up and went on my Mobile Data for the moment(For unknown reasons it utilizes different routing), hours later CogentCo routing was gone and all was back to normal.
There is some let’s say SERIOUS issues, I realised I can’t even do anything since not only did they not fix anything after a call(GlobalSat), but also made me realise it’s rather inappropriate of me to basically ask them for better network infrastucture when I can’t pay for it all, likely costing thousands or even in the millions.
All I can say is, I’ve given up on this issue. Mobile Data is my sole savior as it appears to go through different routing, if I learned anything from this, it’s that Roblox really needs to patch up how the client-server connection works, the worst I’ve had in other games is major ping spikes, not nice but better than losing an entire match.

No improvement, I’m still getting disconnected randomly, voice chat works just fine as always.
