Yeah the issue is that it closes randomly, no errors from Studio.
Iām running on Apple silicon as well, every time when I press stop from testing or running the game, there is a super high chance that itāll crash.
This is as Roblox didnāt add native support to ARM macs so it has a chance to crash as Rosetta 2 Isnāt good sometimes. However on my M1 MacBook Pro running the latest version of macOS seems to work fine.
Sorry for bumping but this issue is extremely annoying and has been happening to me for so long.
I donāt know why but it happens randomly and at any given time?
Iām using macOS Big Sur ver 11.2.2 and It just started happening to me, eventually crashes are more & more frequent, this is really annoying can you guys fix this?
You should use macOS Monterey as itās the latest version of macOS.
macOS Monterey last update 12.5.1 work fast
Did anyone found a solution to this? (Iām using macOS Monterey)
This continues to be a huge issue for development. I believe it is the same error causing this and have sent the logs to the bug reports group
This problem is still prevalent and only got worse after the recent update. The frequency is almost 9 times out of 10.
I am currently unable to open any Roblox Studio file, I am being met by this error.
I have attempted to reinstall Studio 3 times, with the issue still remaining.
My specs:
Mac Mini (M1 2020)
Chip M1
Memory 8gb
Sorry to be the one who bumps old topics, butā¦
I was working on an important update for a game, and my studio suddenly crashed after I wanted to play test. I then reopened studio just to see that ALL my data was wiped with no auto recovery file or whatsoever. 4+ hours of work went missing and now I need to remake everything that I made before the crash occurred.
My computer is an M2 MacBook Air that I had for around 2 months already, this is the first time Roblox Studio legitimately crashed on this thing while working on a huge game project I am working on. I do not want this to happen to me again. (Yes I am using Roblox Studio on Rosetta 2)
Here is my system specs:
(Unfortunately, I donāt have a screenshot of the crash message )
Hey- Fellow M2 Air user here! Hopefully Apple Silicon Support coming in June will reduce crashes
Closing out this thread - if there are specific, repeatable crashes please file a bug (and include a log). We take in a lot of metrics on crashes and prioritize the ones most affecting users. Also of note is that since the rollout of native ARM studio over the summer we have tracked fewer crashes on the HW than on intel.
