Because you(?) covered the last of my memes.
need a bigger field
heres something i did
He is not RIP! Just creepily staring at you behind the painting
PSA: If you made art prior to the time I am writing this, I suggest you check back on it and repair it if necessary. I just witnessed a group of many friends running around trying to ruin as much as possible. I repaired what I could, but some of the art isnât in my repair save.
@1waffle1 I suggest you make the game RbxDev group members only and auto-kick anyone that isnât. That would prevent a lot of spamming and a lot of inappropriate drawings but still have a large enough sample size to make it a creative community place. (or at least only allow non rbxdev group members to only change one block per minute or so?)
Every piece of significant art is in me and Waffleâs repair saves. Itâs actually pretty common for people to ruin art, and you need not worry. Between me and Waffle, art doesnât go long without being repaired.
although it would be nice if more people could keep a copy of stuff on the board so I donât have to keep checking in all day erasing swastikas and whatnot off of peoples drawings
Why not try adding periodic global saves? Save the board to some global key every hour (if itâs been changed). Would make it possible for you to rollback (parts of) the canvas in blocks of an hour, or even add a âchangelogâ feature.
And more importantly, a timelapse.
timelapse/history isnât a good idea. it would immortalize all of the ToS infractions.
Keeping freedom free!
If thatâs the case, then have it include the IDs of who drew which pixels, and have you and the mods go over the history and you record a list of the people who made infractions, and clean the infractions up.
Chances are that those people could use some warnings/bans anyway, so youâd be doing the community a service
Edit: If you donât want that job, then Iâll take it. Though I wouldnât personally consider swastikas as against ToS, since the Hammer and Sickle is allowed by Roblox.
My plan now is to expand the canvas to be infinite and locally loaded, add differentiation between blank and institutional white cells in the repair tool so its default isnât to erase things, and add a timer for new players so if somebody new tries to draw on something somebody else drew, it will pop up asking them to find a blank space to draw in.
Ctrl-Z badly needed, un-doâs 1-5 second increments of history since the last change you made. I just accidentally clicked with repair when I meant to use Q
If R is pressed for less than a half second, it should color pick the key down, not key up color
Check the distance between each pixel they want to change. You know theyâre teleporting if they try to edit pixels very far apart in quick succession.
Furthermore save edits made by each user and add an option to entirely revert all the pixels that user has changed.
If theyâre âdrawingâ an image, the pixels would be one after another. (except when they go to the next row, but one could easily make the odd rows be drawn in reverse order)
popping in every now and then to remove swastikas
but theyâre more like the âhale hortlerâ variety
