Rtrack.social Game Codes and Player Insights

I decided to put this in a new post because these features are very different to the purpose of the site in general, and this also concerns both rtrack.live and rtrack.social, here’s the main social thread: Rtrack.social | Sort by past months Ratings & More

What's RTrack?

RTrack is a Roblox game tracking service which now tracks over 2.8 million Roblox games, as well as advertisements, sponsorships, gamepasses, total player counts and a bunch more behind the scenes. There are two completely different services/sites for rtrack, one is developer facing (rtrack live) and the other is user facing (rtrack social). You can find out more about Social here, and Live here.

rtrack.social Game Codes

Users and developers can now post game codes to any rtrack.social game page. Like this;

Doesn't this undermine the incentive to follow developers on twitter or join their discord?

This is something I considered heavily before adding this feature. I actually feel that this feature is a great source of organic traffic for developers, not something they should be worried about. Here’s a summary of why:

  • The second most searched term containing “Roblox” (after just Roblox itself) is “Roblox Codes”. If your game has codes listed on rtrack Google is much more likely to push the game page up the search results even when users are looking for another game’s codes, giving you an organic source of game traffic.
  • Only a small portion of users are able to follow you on twitter or join your discord because of the rules on social links. They are very likely to instead search Google for codes, landing on a blog post or a ‘Free Robux’ scam website.
  • Soon there will be a homepage for the highest rated game codes on rtrack.social, and with the site gaining 8,000 unique users just in the first month, having your game shown on that page will be a great source of free, organic game traffic.
  • For most popular Roblox games, there are multiple google pages of blog articles showing Roblox game codes, so in the majority of cases users can already find the codes elsewhere. RTrack isn’t taking traffic from your twitter or discord, it’s taking traffic from those other sites.

Plans for integration with rtrack.live membership plans to give developers useful insights into their users

Currently, it’s very difficult to understand how people found your game, what language they speak, and where in the world they come from. When players get game codes from random blog sites, developers don’t know how many users are using that site, and have no control over their content.

Already functioning behind the scenes and in the pipeline to be added to the RTrack pro membership for game owners is an analytics panel for your game’s rtrack.social page:

Future Plans:

  • Allow developers to post their own codes which will always show up at the top of the ‘Game Codes’ section with a ‘Verified’ tag or similar.
  • Customisation of game pages by the game’s developers.
  • Ability to add social links, or a link to your studio’s official website.
  • Creating ways for community interaction, such as reviews, direct developer feedback and change logs visible on the rtrack.social page, and on the Roblox site game page through the chrome extension.
