Awesome to see RDC dates announced so early. Excited to see what new and crazy things come out of RDC this year 
Yay! RDC 2020. As has been said above, nice new logo! I remember watching the live stream last year. Hopefully I’ll be invited this year! I am a new member though, but fingers crossed!

I understand how hard it is for Roblox to pay for things in different continents and even though I’m probably not going, I find it really sad for people in Canada and London and people in other continents who can’t come based on border and VISA situations. Also: I really like the logo, whoever made it did an excellent job.

For anyone with prior experience in attending/applying for RDC, when do applications open on average after all the invitations are sent out and such? I prefer to plan out my trips earlier rather than later to save on expenses.

I’m not sure, but they send out all invitations in waves, and then they open the application (I’m not sure how much time after, but I would guess about 2 - 4 weeks after).

I personally would not ever be able to visit this due to where I live but I really like how they announced it a couple months before the event as to not avoid the confusion and short notice that occurred last time.

Well, to everyone who can make it have a fantastic time however it is just too far for me and I am not experienced enough yet to go.
I am, along with the rest of the European developers surprised and disappointed that there was no official RDC EU this year. Granted there is this unofficial event and RDC is being streamed to London but they are not quite the same.
It is no secret that there are many EU devs including one German developer Flubberlutsch featured on the dev hub, so while trying to become as international as possible yet not having an RDC EU or even Aisa baffles me.
Again, to all of you who are fortunate enough to make it have a great time.

I can’t wait! I’ll be able to actually go for the FIRST time this year. I’ve received invites since 2017 I was unable to go due to me not being able to afford it, but this RDC falls right after my 18th birthday so I’ll be able to go. Can’t wait to see everyone!

YES. I’m ready for round 2 especially after how great it was last year. Last year was also my first RDC and definitely won’t be my last. I had to apply to get in though so if anyone here is considering going but not sure if you’ll get an invite from the wave or don’t get one at all go ahead and apply. Won’t hurt to try and you’ll never know unless you do

What happens if you apply, and then you end up not going? Do you get penalized in any way?

It’s just an application that allows you the ability to purchase a ticket, so there wouldn’t be any reason to be penalized.

That is if I actually get an invite this year like every year before 2019, due to being invited in July last year it was too inconvenient to actually plan to go. 
Don’t forget about lil’ ol’ Fussy over here this year.
