It does show for other users with display names. Example @Darkzonian Account.

Lol, it does work on the site but it currently does not work in-game. Maybe that’ll change soon?
We haven’t heard yet if the DisplayNames released early was intentional or not. We need to know that first.
I can confirm, as a german, that I (still) have the ability to change display names. Sadly, it seems like others (who do not have display names) can not see mine.
It also does not work in-game, only on the web. NOTE: You can actually see the DisplayName above your head in game, so it does work in game. Though in the leaderboard/chat, your name is your unique name.
The way it works is that you go into Settings > Account info > Display Name (top setting). You can change your display name every 7 days (as specified in the original post).
PS: Apparentally they removed it (I can’t confirm this), but I still have it, so they probably did something to patch people who were changing their location etc. If you live in germany, you should be able to change it.

Is there a way for individual creators to disable this feature in their games and to keep it how it was with just usernames? This seems like it could be a nightmare for catching/banning exploiters and obviously impersonating devs, youtubers, group leaders, etc.
I get what the idea was but I see way too many issues stemming from this.

Nobody has enabled it in-game yet, so I think that’s why.

Looks like they patched it so that if you REALLY live in Germany, you can use it.
I wish Roblox would make a Country Lock security feature with that though.

I really like this update, it looks super good on my profile. Now, instead of retroyia/zayeiru, I can be retro! As long as there is a way to combat impersonation, I’m all for it!
They ARE live in-game, but you cannot see it yourself. Other players will be able to see the name above your character. The Humanoid reflects the player’s DisplayName accurately now.

Windscribe is a safe and free one. I’ve been using it for the past year without any issues or viruses.
I forgot i have to wait 7 days to change it back. I guess this is me for the next week.
